Shyamalan has built a career on the twist ending, and The Sixth Sense is by far his best work. The problem with most films that play off a twist is that they are too subtle and the ending makes no sense, or they aren't subtle enough and the twist is too obvious. In the Sixth Sense, Shyamalan nails the happy medium delivering a twist that makes perfect sense in the context of the story, and perfectly subtle so you never see it coming. The ending is so amazingly set up that all it takes is one small object rolling across the floor and you immediately know what's happened. It is one of the best jaw-dropper endings ever.

What adds greatly to the films charm is the excellent performances by Bruce Willis, Toni Collette, Olivia Williams and Haley Joel Omsent.

bad review on a masterpiece. you need to be a lot more descriptive on the acting, the story, the visuals, the direction, the dialogue, etc.

This is one of Shyamalan's best movies, but "Signs" is mostly my #1 favorite!
