The Ruins: Review By CloudZeroX

I read the novel when it came out which is saying a lot I only read novels if they seem very very interesting, and it was so I went in to seeing this film with medium expectations...

...but I watch 95% of everything so I went out and saw it with a girl I know. Honestly, it wasn't fantastic and a 4 star rating is probably a star high, but for me I really enjoyed it a lot.

The story is pretty solid, not super in detail, but then again what honor in modern day is, right? Acting wasn't amazing, but I think that Stacey played a good insane person toward the end. Directing was pretty good, not too much to debate on. Visuals had what they needed, nothing wrong there.

I loved the ending EXTREMELY, because everyone died, I mean honestly, that would have happened in real life. I love films that are thrilling and yet so brutally realitic. A lot of people don't and sometimes depending on the film it even can make me shift to the "ehh" part rather than the "yeah" part of it. But all in all I thought it was great.
