The Rage: Carrie 2: Review By The CryptKeeper
They did about as good as they could have done.

The story is pretty weak, and unbearably unoriginal. It plays ike a remake of the first, but really isn't. If you know what I mean. Also, because we all know how the first one turns out (if you don't I won't be the one to tell you.), and because of that, it makes this one too predictible. Almost scene-by-scene. You know how it will all turn out, and what is going to happen next. The story is basiclly a clone of the first. It follows the same basic story, and events. Rachel, is an outcast, BUT not as bad as Carrie was in the first. Her mother was put in a mental instution, and father was not there. So Rachel had foster parents. They were loving, but tough. She finally meets a boy that actually cares, and.... well you might be able to guess, but I am not going to ruin it. If you have seen the first, you can tell what is going to happen. But not at a prom. hehe
The acting is fair by Emily Bergl, who I have never heard of, plays Rachel. The girl that is suppose to be like Carrie. She does well with her role, however, she did not make me think that she was the only actress in the world that could pull off the role. The rest of the cast was average, and forgettable. Also all unknown actors, just familiar faces. Nothing special here.
The visual are decent, but not really anyhthing special... again. The end scene has some surprising blood/gore, and cool deaths. Again, nothing special. Pretty average, just like the movie.
Overall, an average movie, with nothing special. I don't really recommend this, but maybe try it if you can get a free rental. It is not an insult to the first. They did about as good as they could do, which wasn't a whole lot. To be honest, this is just another movie you will watch. Not something you will remember for your life, or even that month.
It was pointless to even make a sequel.

movieweb is run by all females, and they are sexist. That's why we never hear any females complaining about their reviews.

I agree with this review, as you should already know, and what we have been talking about, or maybe me, I think the tattoo part was the best part of the movie although incongruent.

Not too bad. Like the way you put in a little bit of the movie in there to tell us what the movie is actually about... I mean, what if some of us haven't seen the original Carrie? A little bit of the story helps. Nice job.
