When rumours begin to circulate that King Henry VIII (Bana) is no longer intimate with his wife who has been unable to give him a male heir, Sir Thomas Boleyn concocts a plan to bring his family back to prominence: his daughter Anne (Portman) shall seduce the King and provide him with a son. However, the scheme goes off course when the King takes to the other Boleyn girl, Anne's younger sister and best friend Mary (Johansson). Although married already, Mary gives in to family pressure and reluctantly provides the King with a boy, but along the way, she finds herself falling in love with the surprisingly tender monarch. Of course, this love affair is no obstacle for Anne whose hunger for the throne now overpowers her sisterly love, and she enacts a plan that eventually tears her family and her country apart while leading to her legendary demise.

    This movie (if it's anything like History or even like the book)will be phenomenal! It's a true story. King Henry VIII was a trip and his life was even the more interesting. It's HISTORY! His life was so intriguing that several people have written about him and his wives, his life, his story is heart wrenching and adventurous in every way possible. I hope they capture all of his life as it was. Okay I have been waiting months to see this movie. Every since I read the book, I have been searching for when it will be coming to the theaters and now it's here next week! I CAN'T WAIT! Oh my Gosh I am so excited! Okay just having a moment there. I can just about promise everyone on this site that they will love this movie (IF IT'S ANYTHING LIKE THE BOOK AND AS THE ACTUAL ACCOUNTS OF HIS LIFE) Sooo when the movie comes out, let's get back on this site and talk about how much you guys loved it! I'm game LOL okay I'm done. EXCITED!!!!! Read the book please.
