Where to begin, where to begin? Normally I'm not into movies you have to read, especially when I'm not expecting them to be in a foreign language, but I am glad that I stuck this one through. Just as I did when I rented Pan's Labirynth and unexpectedly found out that it was also in spanish.

This was a stunning movie, one of the most suspensful films that I have seen to this day. The characters were well developed and the special effects were great. It was cool to see the ghosts be there one minute and then completely vanish.

Guillermo Del Toro is probably one of hollywoods A-List directors, giving us such hits as Pan's Labirynth, Blade II, and Hellboy.

I was really happy that it was suspensful, since lately there haven't been that many truly suspensful films. This one, however, had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Belen Rueda did an excellent job playing Laura, plus she's got the perfect horror movie scared eye, watch the movie, you'll understand. She was also very good at playing the woman whose child has disappeared, and then finds out that the orphanage she has been redoing has a history of disappearances that are linked to the paranormal, and then in turn begins to lose her mind in the haunted Orphanage.

The storyline itself was incredibly gripping and compelling, I almost even shed a tear for Laura as she frantically searches for reason throughout her strife to find her son.

The ending of this movie, like the ending of Silent Hill, was sort of confusing, but it was one of those Sixth Sense sort of things where you go wow, I didn't see that one coming, and it just makes the movie even better.

All in all I would tell you that even if you aren't a fan of foreign films to go out and at least rent this DVD, it's a stunning visual masterpiece!!!!!
