Guillermo Del Toros trademark look and color scheme and look and that old fasioned insignia look and fell to it is here, but alas this movies reviews and compliments are due for the Director who typically is not Del Toro.

Here is a horror film that needs no wimsical sadistic gore, but true performances and direction.

The camera is still and slow, making the audience take in every detail of the situation she is in and what might emerge, and all the while we are coming to our own conclusions alas: BOO!!!!! we are broken out of are trance and scared and our eyes then seep in more detail of story and performance.

Many may cheat and use the english audio track, but what i find is when reading subtitles the actress voice is in your head so it clicks and while you read the lines you can hear her, and it makes you more intruged with the story.

As with Pans labyrinth this is my thought.

A masterfully made horror piece that will delight many a fan of pure intelligent horror, and subtitled movies.
