Not a waste of time, but the time could have been spent better

I rented 2 completly different movies at the same time. Running Scared with Paul Walker, and The Ninth Gate.

Johnny Depp as always gives a fine preformance. He is such a good actor. He has never done a horrid movie to my knowlege.

I have only seen 2 Roman Polanski films. Rosemary's Baby, and The Ninth Gate. Both are very similar. Both have to deal with demons and the devil, and they are both slow paced, but not a complete bore. Another relation is the endings both dissapoint.

This movie may have a solid story, but yet it seems motionless, like I mentioned earlier. The Ninth Gate really takes it's time to develop. Please note I did not say it is boring. It just isn't what I call an edge of your seat thriller. I do not recommend that you watch this when you are tired. It won't keep you awake.

Overall, it was an ok view that wasn't a waste of time or a rental fee, but it didn't have to be so long, and coulda been better.

I forgot, Sweeney Todd, that's a great one as well, but I think I like A Nighmare/elm st better. But I know a lot of people like Sweeney Todd more than me, but that don't mean I don't like it!!!

HA, not exactly. Well, I guess you have an opinion, but his best role and movie for me was as Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

To many movies I've seen they get jumbled sometimes, I meant Secret Window, the only Stephen King movie I like, but Rear Window is good and I have to see Distrubia, to compare because its a remake, also check out Donnie Brasco, JD and Al Pacino, Blow, another great is Once Upon a Time in Mexico, the prequel to Desperado and El Marichi, and if you go back, but I sure you already knows this, but Johnny Depp was the first Nightmare on Elm Street.

I agree with this review. The movie was WAY too slow paced, lacking of intrigue, and had a bad ending. And I haven't even seen the film for several years, yet I do remember those things about it specifically, even if I can't recall many images from the film.

I ahve not seen many of Depp's earlier stuff such as Cry Baby an so forth, but I ahve seen Sleepy Hollow, and well I can't remember except for Pirats/Carribein, which were ok. I do know I ahve seen others.

Rear Window is an Alfred Hitchc*ck film that has Jimmy Stewert, not Johnny DEpp.

I thought that Eyes Wide Shut was a sort of porno film.

I wanna see Enr of Days.

and yes, this is geard tward adults. When they were making it, they probably never thought that a 13 year old would be watching it, much less be interested in it. But like I said, it wasn't a total bore, but over 2 hours and I think the movie could have been summed up in 1 hour 35 minuets. My mom felt the exact way I feel about the movie.

A lot of his movies aren't that well know to have been watched, both of these movies are great movies, and yes Johnny Depp hasn't made any bad movies, but some are borderline, tell me Cryptkeeper what other movies of JD's have you seen, any earlier career movies. Rear Window was a really good one, a movie that kind of like this, except for the Occult part, if your into that, Tom Cruise, and his then wife Nicole Kidman check Eyes Wide Shut, and another, which is one of my favorite Arnold movies is End of Days, which I should have a review for soon. Check them out and compare the difference, and don't forget about the Omens too. All good Occult movies, not really Eyes Wide Shut, but the rest. Plus not to cut you down or anything, I think you felt the movie was slow because it's geared more towards adults, not to say that it is a fast paced movie, or that you couldnt follow it, but this movie was made back in the 90's back when the majority of movies were "R" rated, instead of todays top rating "PG-13".
