This movie kept me guessing the whole time. Its about 3 seperate stories involving all the same actors playing different characters and how they intertwine with one another. Ryan Reynolds pulls off a performance noteworthy like most others. Hope Davis knocks one out of the park as well. The movie starts off with Gary,(R.R.) a top of the game tv star who loses his girl friend and in spite attempts to burn all her belongings but instead burns his house to the ground. he flees and buys crack while picking up a hooker on the street and heads to a hotel room. eventually he is put on house arrest and put in a home belonging to a tv writer, (also played by RR), who is currently in Canada shooting a pilot episode for his new show. RR meets up with his new neighbor who is infatuated with him and they end up getting together one night. after a lil psychotic episode Gary bolts out the door and runs away. he meets a little girl at a bus stop where she disappears and police find him and take him back home. this time he is given an ankle bracelet and a publicist roommate to watch over him. towards the end of the story strange things happen to Gary where it inexplicably ends. we then go to the tv writer, Gavin, in canada also played by Reynolds.

we see this flambouyant writer thru the eyes of a reality show while he is tryign to get his pilot on the air. his story consists of a character named Gabriel who is lost in the middle of nowhere with his wife and daughter. the show ends up getting changed to Gavins dismay and eventually cancelled. gavin is distrought and upset greatly where he punches a woman in the face for being the sole purpose of his shows end.

the final story is that of gabriel, the mAin character of gavins pilot episode and how he got stuck in his situation and what he will do to help his family. he ends up meeting someone several miles away while leaving his family behind to seek help. the myserious woman drugs him and reveals to gabriel that he is a 9. all humans are 7's and koalas possess the ability of being telepathic making them 8's. god being the highest form of power being what is called a 10. it turns out ryan reynolds characters are all pawns in a much bigger game. he is a 9. a being with unimaginable power who created earth. he became infatuated with the lives of his creation and became several lesser human beings so as to live out his own life as one of us. while being a tv star he becomes addicted to crack and forgets. whilst all the characters are trying to release him from his human-esque prison and reveal he is much more than a man and creator, but just short of god-like status.

all in al this movie is one of my favorites and it is very entertaining. altho you might have to view it more than once to understand the entire story.

nice, detailed review dude! Sounds awesome, I like films that puts your mind to the test a little. I absolutely loved Memento and 21 Grams.... this sounds like it's right up my alley. Definitely going to watch it!
