The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor: Review By charlie111

I had the decesion of seeing this movie or the pineapple express, I really regret it after reading the reviews for the express.

This has nothing to do with the movie but did anyone elses theater show the same previews as the ones for the dark night. Usually you will see a knew preview for a movie qet really hyped for it.

The movie starts off with long and dragging scene about the dragon emperor and his backstory.

This took up about 1/8th of the movie time. This scene shouldve been dimmed down.

After this long backstory we find Alex all grown up and not very good at acting. Alex has drifted away from his parents. Alex is know searching for the tomb of the dragon emperor and he eventually finds it.

We find out that Rick and Eve have retired and i dont what they have retire from, its something dealing with espionage.

Soon the whole family is reunited and the emperor is revived and he is looking for the pool of immortality so he can transform into what ever he wants and then he would raise his army and take over the world. The only way to kill him is to stab him in the heart. The idea of immortality has been redevined in the past decade. IT MEANS NOTHING CAN KILL YOU, i thought the idea is if you get stabed in the heart you will not die, and also why is it getting stabed in the heart will kill it, and im not just talking about this movie. Why not something really random like getting stabed in the but cheek with a toothpick while qouting monty python.

When the emperor finally transforms, he turns into a 3 headed dragon. Turn into something else, like how about a oversized skunk that shoots lava out of his butt. The dragon flys away, which is very stealthy. I wonder ehere the emperor is going to go, gee just follow the big freakin dragon.

The death scene of the emperor is just really stupid. Alex and rick both get credited with the kill. Alex and Ricks father-son realationship disapearead through out the years. The dagger that kills the emperor broke in two. Rick has one half fighting the emperor and stabs it into the front half of his heart, then Alex comes out of no where after getting his ass handed to him and stabs him the back where the dagger forges with other half of the dagger and the emporor is dead. The writers must have been rushed to finish this one

The movie is filled with corny mummy jokes that are terrible. The worst one comes at the end when Jonathan (Yes Jonathan was in this movie i just didnt find any reason to talk about him in the movie review because he served no purpose in the movie, not even as a comic relief) anyway he gets into a cab and is asked is where to, He responds by saying A place where there arent any mummys How about Peru, the cab takes off and a caption comes up saying soon after mummys were found in Peru. You could have had put any thing else there like, NO MUMMYS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKEING OF THIS FILM The first two movies were awesome and this one takes a big sand dump on them.
