This looks like some long lost artifact from the 1940s. Still and beautiful in Black & White, Roger Deakins deserves heaps of credit for the best photography seen this year. I'll bet five dollars in support of the Women's Coalition To Eradicate Worthless Reviewers that he wins the Oscar, hands down. Without his work, this picture wouldn't be what it is.
