"The Lookout" is what I would say is a gritty masterpiece. It was a good movie, aclaimed director, Scott Frank (Get Shorty) has brought us another great movie. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Angels in the Outfield) Plays the role, Chris Pratt, and Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber)

It is a complex drama movie what I think, a definete gritty movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt stars as Chris Pratt, he had brain damage and scars from a fatal car crash, 2 out of 4 of them lived from it. It will acually grip you in the movie the first 30-40 seconds. The story is complex, a struggling teenager who works as a janitor at a local bank. He meets some "old friends" from when he used to play hockey. Then the movie goes on with the heist. Like i said, it's a complex story, from a great director/writer, which usually mean a great movie, which this is.

The actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who I enjoyed in "Angels in the Outfield" (remake) has gotten... older, and better. Sometimes though he would make himself have an acient which he never had in the movie was one of the problems but not out of many, Jeff Daniels played his blind roommate, at times i found him not pleasent with his acting, he made himself sound like he was in a different movie. Some of the supporting actors were the same, and others, better. The characters that they played were right, just how they talked. This is the 4th movie I've seen Jeff Daniels in,this is his second best movie that he's played in. A great crime drama, with a great heist.

The cmarea views looked good enough, the way they made the camera moved, and the place that they placed it. The music was great, but the movie was short, and it had like... 2 minutes of action in the whole movie. At times it dissapointed me but it still a great movie. It surprisingly curses a lot thats why i think it got a R-rated rating.

The visuals were almost perfect, the snow, the little blood, and the little gun fire. The action at times were the most believeable sequences of a gun fight. The guns looked real, and the backrounds were hard to believe. But, going fast in a car, and hitting a object should pretty much kill everybody instead the people in the two front seats lived, and the others died. Well i don't know. The make-up was pretty good i guess, the scars, the blood, pale faces. I liked the visuals, soemtimes they were bad and then they were good and thats what got it back up to 4 stars.

A great movie to see, I would probably see this about 5 more times before I got tired of it. Sometimes i will say again it dissapointed me, it does have Brief nudity but only a scene. The name i don't understand but still caught peoples attaention, actors, they got some young ones, Jeff Daniels isn't really that good anymore I liked him in Dumb and Dumber but this one... he was ok.

4 stars to this gritty film, not a 5 for sure, sometimes it was boring, but it grips you in te 30-40 seconds with a jaw dropping unexpecting scene. Not a MUST see but a movie that you should definetly see, taut suspense at times, gritty movie and geat crime drama.

So yea, a movie that i recomend you see. Not Crime drama at it's best, maybe shortest but a great crime drama.

Great review! I saw this movie a few months ago. It was on a list of "must-see" movies, and altho I personally don't agree with it as such, it did keep me interested from beginning to end.
