The Last Winter: Review By Hunch51984

Take a little bit of John Carpenter's The Thing, and throw in a bit of M. Night's The Happening and you get The Last Winter.

In the Eco-friendly world we live in, where most of the world is concerned with global warming. Filmmakers have started to play on these fears and have started to produce what I like to call Eco-horror which we are only now starting to get a real taste of. Sadly the most notable is the very disappointing film by M. Night Shyamalan, The Happening.

This movie is what The Happening should have been. The Last Winter very effectively uses the Arctic wilderness as the backdrop to a very suspenseful story of what may just happen if the Earth decided to get back at us for the damage we have done to it.
