I am known here at MovieWeb as the guy who trashed "The Happening" by the dude that directed "The Sixth Sense".

Okay, so The Happening was not that bad, but that showed my extreme disappointment to M. Night Sha-Sha-Sha-Sha- Oh, I give up. And this was no different.

When I first heard of this project, I thought "Oh crack. Now the entire production is ruin. Now I'll never see Aang in the Big Screen."

Then, I saw the trailer and some pictures, and I thought "Okay, you got my attention. Show me your skill."

Then, I heard that everyone was white, or just Aang, Katara, Sokka and I thought "Losing hope again."

Then, I heard that Iroh was white and this was to be converted in 3D, I said, "Nope, I will never dare to even think of watching this."

I watched it though, not in 3D, because I heard it was terrible, and let me tell you this: M. Night Sha- The guy from Sixth Sense really is downright disappointing.

First off, the storyline is off. Lots of important things that were suppose to happen did not. Now, if they plan to continue this to Earth and Fire, they will suffer, for they got rid of lots of important parts. The story will be confused and even I might not understand it. And if M. Night starts compromising, like in this one, he might wish he had a sixth sense.

Second, the casting was out. Zuko and Yue were the only ones casted right. The others were a mix from slightly different to outcasting the original versions. Aang and Iroh were wrongly casted, with Aang being too stiff and serious, while Iroh being just, ummmm, out of place.

And this is the most important. There was no humor. That was why the series was so popular. It was a mix between humor, action, adventure, and seriousness. The movie was so serious, I didn't see it as an adaption, but a M. Night version of the film.

His daughter must be fairly disappointed.

But there was some good parts. The one part that really was the best part of it all was in a restaurant/food place/bar/recreational center. Iroh asked Zuko to focus on the pretty girls. Then, Zuko got a child over at their table and asked him about the Prince. The scene showed M. Night's talent in writing. The problem is that he has a habit of directing the films, which he had run out of talent on after "Signs." Actually, the directing greatness was only there in "The Sixth Sense", so the rest of his films are just plain, um, talentless.

If your a fan, don't watch. Just disappointing for a fan. If your new, don't watch. You will just be as disappointed as the fans. Because this is just an oversimplified version of the series, and if you really want real smart entertainment, skip this and watch the "Avatar:The Last Airbender" re-runs. Those are so much better.
