Wise up G golly. I have no problem with remade per se but I do have problem with remade that has a racist agenda.
Mcshuluart, you have to be stupid. I'm not white nor am I racist. Calling Will Smith racists for following a racist script is justified.

If Will Smith is asked to follow the script of a movie called MONSTER IN BLACK that tells him to play smart by deciding to shoot at an image of an eight year old BLACK boy carrying a book of quantum physics in a shooting range and justify the decision by saying that only the eight-year-old black boy can be the monster in disguise as human because an eight-year-old black boy reading quantum physics is too surreal to be normal, do you think Will Smith would follow such a script if he is given big money to do it?

If a producer asks Will Smith to allow his son to play the part of a black racist and bully to be defeated by a white Kung Fu kid whose mom was a victim of black on white hate crime as described in The Kung Fu Kid story in my blog, do you think Will Smith would allow his son to play that role and follow the script if he is given big money to do it?

Please don't deceive yourself by saying "Yes, I think he would" by giving the same lame excuse that "It's just a movie" or "The actor just follow the script."

You think I have to be young and not know what black people went through in America. You are wrong again. First, I'm not young. Second even young people in America know about what black people have been through in slavery. They learn it in school as well as on TV. However, the fact that the ancestors of black people in the U.S. were held as slaves by white people in the early days of American history does not give them the right to racially discriminate or bully the white people of today, much less the right to discriminate or bully the descendants of the Chinese many of whom had to toil as hard as the black slaves in dangerous construction jobs to earn a meager living nor the new Chinese immigrants who have nothing to do with black slavery.

You say, "Have you been watching the news lately. Bully's are causing a lot of trouble in schools. This movie came out right in time."

Are you kidding me? You can't be this ignorant, can you?
Yes, bullies are causing a lot of trouble in schools lately, but they are incidents of BLACK STUDENTS BULLYING ASIAN STUDENTS, not vice versa.
YouTube search "Black on Asian crime" then " Asian on Black crime" and you will see that only the Asian students are bullied by black students but not the other way round. Many of the Asian kids were beaten so bad by the black bullies that they became too scared to go to school.

You are so stupid to say that The Karate Kid story of Chinese boys bullying a black kid is appropriate just because news reports that bullies are causing lot of trouble lately.
You cannot ignore the fact that in reality the black teens are the bullies and the Asian teens are the victims or intentionally switch the ethnicities of the bullies and victims like Will Smith does in his propaganda to spread black racism and then say the story of The Karate Kid (2010) is appropriate and addressing the issue of bullying. That's racist and perversion of the truth and will only add salt to the wounds of the victims of bullying you claim to care about.

Shut up G golly. Hey I like older movies too. Still if they wanted to remake "Howard the duck" I would watch it too. If they wanted to remake, "Legend" I would watch it too. If they wanted to remake "Labrynth" I would watch it too. You do so much complaining, well don't see the movie. Just because they come out with a new version doesn't mean the older version dissapeared suddenly. Honestly I don't want to keep watching the old ones. It's old and when you look back on them, you realize how bad the acting was and you notice some stuff you didn't notice when you were younger because you were you young to notice. Well guess what. I notice now. They might remake the movie "It" Are you guys going to complain about that. "Oh no, that was my favorite, don't remake it" Oh shut up. You know you want to see a newer version of these movies.Karate kid being one of them. Tall Lanky white kids aren't the only ones getting bullied, so there could be multiple version of this movies. Wouldn't want to see movie you can relate to. Oh and "Simon6071" you have to be white. Um you have to be racist as well calling and actor following a script racist for really dumb reason. You also have to be young as well. You must don't know what Black people went through int he not so far back past with slavery and all the other stuff white people did to black folks. Black people have come a long way and what's stupid is that you think that chinese people can't be racist. He's in a place that's out of his comfort zone and he stands out a bit. Um he's black. Not everybody likes Americans. Especially little black kids with attitude. Have you been watching the news lately. Bully's are causing a lot of trouble in schools. This movie came out right in time. Kids can loose confidence and be bullied at an early age. That's what's happening right now and been happening. Look at the message in the movie. You know what, I think they should go back to making movies in black and white, with no color of course. Then maybe you will get the point.

The Karate Kid (2010) - Another Insidious Racist Movie by Black Racist Will Smith

The new Karate Kid is yet another black racist movie by the insidious racist Will Smith after Men in Black (inciting the shooting of little white girl by vilifying her image as alien monster in disguise) and Hanc*ck (white kid being vilified as bully and punched sky high by Hanc*ck).

So now Will Smith even brings his son into his world of hate by making up another racist story that vilify the Chinese boys as bullies against a black kid (Will Smith's son) so that he can play hero by beating up the Chinese boys using Chinese Kung Fu.

Historically, the Chinese were bullied by the Japanese, the originator of Karate, and unlike the Europeans and white Americans, the Chinese people did not have a history of bullying the black people at all.

Yet in Will Smith's made-up story of The Karate Kid, not only the new generation of the Chinese people are vilified as bullies, the movie brings further contempt to the Chinese by calling the black kid The Karate Kid even though what he leaned is Chinese Kung Fu. Essentially, it promotes the insidious notion that the Japanese has beaten the Chinese in their own game besides promoting Will Smith's insidious racist message against children who are not black.

It seems like Will Smith never gets tired of making up stories to vilify little children of other ethnicities in order to promote his black racist agenda.

The most deplorable part of the new Karate Kid movie is that Jackie Chan, the Kung Fu clown, enjoys being the cohort of the black racist Will Smith in vilifying the new generation of the Chinese people just like he did in 2009 with his narcissistic comment that the Chinese people need to be firmly controlled by the government.

Jacky Chan is a racist sc*mbag who feels no shame in bringing contempt to his own people for money and fame while being a sycophant to the racist black people like Will Smith

It would be allright to watch this movie (i like jackie), but wtf why they called it "The Karate Kid". Karate is from japan and this is kung-fu because setting is China. So anyway Im looking forward to this movie.

I know it is a small thing, but "Kung Fu Kid" would be more appropriate. Karate is from Japan!

It looks cute but I agree that classics should stay classic. But you have to consider that some kids have never heard of Karate Kid. For that their parents should be beaten. :)
