There are only reports of white cops, but not cop of Asian ethnicity, shooting black people to death and claimed to have mistaken some harmless objects they carry as guns. Do not use the Asian store owners and Asian cops as scapegoats for criminal violence committed by thugs and police brutality committed by white cops. You ask where I was when Rodney King got brutally beaten? Good question. I was somewhere in Asia when it happened but it did not make a big news there until there was a riot in LA. My brother said jokingly that it was my fault that there was a riot because I predicted to him that something like that would happen in the US and it did. As a matter of fact I was a victim of police brutality in the US due to mistaken identity. At first I only asked the cop (actually he was a sheriff's deputy) to give me a face to face apology. He first agreed then refused later. So I sued him the way I could but he lied that I assaulted him first. The judge pretended to believe him so I did not get the justice I deserved. Of course, if I had really assaulted the cop first, I would certainly have been charged with assaulting a police officer if I had not been killed with a barrage of bullets. The fact that the cop was let go and I was not charged showed that the judge knew what he was doing. I had tried three things to fight against police brutality. I staged a sit-in protest at the sheriff station, sued the cop the best way I could and I wrote to the newspaper complaining about police brutality. So even before the Rodney King beating I was already doing something against police brutality.

In spite of my complaint against police brutality I see that there is a different perspective of the Rodney King beating incident and the subsequent riot that we should see. First of all, Rodney King did resist arrest for stealing a vehicle before the beating but the biased media censored the resisting arrest part and only broadcasted the beating part repeatedly. Second, I don't understand why the black people who rioted did not react with the same rage when non-black people are brutally beaten up or even killed by thugs before stealing their vehicles if the rioters were really non-racist people against brutality. Third, during the riot a lot of innocent white and Asian people got brutally beaten and even killed by the black rioters who were supposed to be against the beating of the innocent. So even though I am against police brutality and the Rodney King beating by abusive cops, I see that the LA rioters were but a bunch of violent racist hypocrites.

Katrina was a natural disaster that the government was not well-prepared for. It has nothing to do with racism.
