I wasn't expecting too much from this movie despite having heard some good comments about it. A carer and a quadriplegic. Doesn't sound like a fascinating plot, does it? But I couldn't have been more wrong.

This movie (which is in French - with subtitles) is both fascinating and unique. It's extremely funny - the double act going on between the main two actors is just hilarious. It's also very sensitive and moving. The acting is great from everyone involved, but I'd probably have to give my personal Oscar award to the guy in the wheelchair, who manages to produce a superb performance despite only being able to move his face and head. Interestingly, he also looks a bit like a Gallic version of Dustin Hoffman and I'd say that his acting is at least as good.

The script, directing and camerawork are also top notch.

I could continue to wax lyrical about this movie, but I'll sum it all up with the comment my wife made as we left the auditorium. She said, "That's one of the best movies I've ever seen."

She was right. It is. Do yourself a favour. Go and see it.
