I watched a Behind-The-Set video of "The Hobbit." Looks great! Felt like I was watching "LOTR" again with the same background music, but too bad I have to wait 2 years for this movie to come out! :-(

It willl be nice to see this book finally brought to life as an actual film. I have seen it as a cartoon, but this should be much better.

wait a second, the hobbit 1 was supposed to be the book right and then the second the in between? So why is ron pearlman rumored for both films if he should die in the first as thorin?

What part is Ron Pearlman playing?
With the loss of Del Toro as a director that really sucks. He is a very generous director, adding loads of details to each of his films. His style would be a match in heaven for, The Hobbit. But with Peter Jackson the producer I am sure it will live up to the Lord of the Rings, if not sur-pass.

Haters. I can't wait for this movie to come out. A new take a new possibly greater leap - and I heard there's going to be more of the dwarves live's and society revealed. I like it already.

WE definitly need a new face on screen, how about giving a new actor bilbos position, it look great for the movie and for the reflection back on LOTR, it be the best for the movie and for the moral and theory based upon the books, its unbeleivable what an old acting name could do with a fresh part in a time traveling series ,, new actor all the way !!:)

be wary.. I read he plans to change the hobbit look. For one, I don't want that. But of course, that sounds mighty selfish.

  22. slysnide

Del Toro's vision is unique, especially for fantasy, but I hope he remains in the style PJ set-up for "LOTR," because besides Goblins, Beorn the Giant, and Smaug the Dragon, the other peoples have been covered in "LOTR" such that they need not be redefined improperly.

  24. Raoul Duke

Peter Jackson is the Executive Producer as well as having a hand in writing the script. Del Toro is going to honor Jacksons vision while at the same time adding his own style. This movie, is going to f*cking rule. I cant wait to see who they get for Smaug's voice. And McKellan and Serkis will both be reprising their roles(thank god). Can you imagine someone else as Gandalf?
