“Love Blows”
CAST: Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghn, Jerry Stiller, Malin Ackerman,…
Okay, I was over moms house over vacation and she has all the movie channel like HBO, STARZ, CINEMAX, ENCORE, and SHOWTIME. I was going trough the HBO list and there I saw, "The Heartbreak Kid”. I had totally forgotten all about that Ben Stiller comedy and never even would have remembered it if I didn’t see it there on the list. I decided to give it a watch. I like Ben Stiller, Jerry Stiller, and I even liked Michelle Monaghn. So I said to myself, “Wow. What a great, funny cast. Lets give this movie a watch. It looked funny when I saw commercials and stuff”. Then, I watched this and it wasn’t one hundred percent what I was expecting. It wasn’t funny. I laughed maybe once or twice. I saw this more of a romantic-dramady only because it wasn’t all that funny and it only had to do with relationships. I liked this movie…but it isn’t something to really want to see badly. So I didn’t really care that I had forgotten all about it after it came out in 2007. I like Ben Stiller, he never disappoints me. I liked him a lot in “Tropic Thunder”, “Meet the Parents”, and “Night at the Museum”, although he was good in this, his gray hair looked sort of annoyed me. I knew it fit the character and all but I don’t think a forty year old man is goanna have gray hair that GRAY! Either that or that’s Ben’s true color and he dies it black for all his other movies. Lol. All and all, a decent comedy.
ACTING:
Ben Stiller is a funny guy. He was sort of funny in this but not really what I expected. Ben Stiller plays a decent role and he didn’t disappointment me, really. Ben Stiller is in other movies such as “Meet the Parents”, “Night at the Museum”, “Meet the Fockers”, “Zoolander”, “Heavyweights”, “Tropic Thunder”, “Madagascar”, “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa”, and is soon to be in a sequel to the 2006 action/comedy “Night at the Museum”. Michelle Monagn is a great actress. She is one of my top eight actresses. She did an amazing performance, as usual. Michelle Monaghn is in other movies such as “Maid of Honor”, “Eagle Eye”, “Gone Baby Gone”, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”, “Mission Impossible 3”, and “Mr. And Mrs. Smith”. Jerry Stiller, Ben’s father, is a funny guy. He cracked me up a little in this but he said some ridicules things to his son. That sort of bothered me. Jerry Stiller is Arthur in the comedy-series that ended a couple years ago. He starred with Kevin James in “The King of Queens”. All and all, the movie has good acting.
PLOT:
The plot of the movie has to do with love. Its about a newlywed man who is unhappily married. On his honeymoon, he falls in love with another women. The movie is filled with comedy joked and romantic scenes that are ruined with more comedy jokes. The plot is interesting and fun to watch. It has a good cast and a good solid script. The movie may be three stars to me but that’s not horrible. The movie is decent.
All and all, see “The Heartbreak Kid”. It’s not terrible and its not great. Its just a decent three to four star film. See this. Its got its funny moments and its stupid moments but its still a good movie.

Ben Stiller is awesome! He'd be the only reason I'd even want to see this movie. Nice review.

Good Review. Worth 3 Stars. Malin Ackerman's character made this movie funny. Ben Stiller needs to work on acting.
