first off, wow. it was amazing. now, ive never read the books, so i dont know exactly how true the movie stayed to the books, but all i know is that this is a deffinate must see for any fantasy lover. the visuals were stunning and very well done. the land scapes and setting, especaily key spots like the final battle and the ice bear kingdom were very beautiful and the daemons looked really cool fight alongside theyre companions. the other settings were very cool to look at. it was like a mixture of the future and the 1800's. the story was pretty easy to follow and didnt have you confused. they never really explained dust, but im sure thats going to all be explained in the sequals. ian mckellen was truely badass as iorek. when he first came on screen and spoke his first words, i knew right away he was going to do some badass sh*t. the beautiful eva green and the epic sam elliot really did a fantasic job as supporting characters. nicole kidman was seriously really good at being an evil bitch. i was honestly convinced. also, i wanna say, daemons would be so handy to have in real life, i was really jealous of them. what really got me though, was why the church had such a big problem with this movie, nothing they said was in it, was in it. its just a good old fashion fantasy story about courage and friendship and what have you. i would definately recommend this film to people of all ages. im really looking forward to the next two films and im definately reading the books.
