The Golden Compass: Review By DMan423

Well, I didn't really know what to expect when I walked into the theater for this one, but it wasn't what I got. While the visuals for the movie were perfect, the story was a bit lacking and the ending was incredibly disappointing. I understand that this is just the first of a trilogy, but it could have ended a little better. I thought of this as a mixture of Lord of the Rings and Eragon, but without the engaging characters. Now that I look back on it, I really think the lack of diversity among the main characters personalities really made for a hum-drum experience. I think I'll wait for the sequels to come out on dvd instead of wasting more money on this lame epic.
