(i would like to appologize in advance this is my first review and idk what im doing)(WARNING possible spoilers if u havent read the book)

ok here it goes

This Christmas my Uncle got me the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo the book and i fell in love with it instantly i finished all three books in about a month. I watched this movie with high hopes because i heard nothing but good things about it, but after the credits rolled i felt very disappointed with what i saw. the book painted such a beautiful picture in my mind, but sadly the movie had none of the pictures that were painted in my brain.

the basic plot line is this: A Swedish billionaire Henrik Vanger hires head journalist at Milenium Magazing Michael Blomkvist and genious hacker Lisbeth Salander to solve a mystery that is almost 50 years old with plenty of twists and turns that will surely blow your little minds to pieces.

what i loved:

Lisbeth Salander: probably one of the greatest female protagonists ever created. her life is so demented and twisted i thought they would handle this character terribly, but amazingly i was wrong, Noomi Rapace simply is Lisbeth. SPOILER AHEAD....

when Bjurman was raping Lisbeth it actualy felt real like that was really happening. bravo gentlemen (im in no way condoning rape or any physical acts considdered as rape)

What could of been better in my opinion:

Spoiler ahead:

The Relationships:

in the book Michael Blomkvist had a sexual relationship with almost every female he saw and each relationship had relevence. In the movie however the only sexual relationship we see Blomkvist in is with Lisbeth and that kind of disappointed me because the relationships were like half the book.

Also in the book the mystery was not solved that easily and i felt like the people who made this movie were criticizing my intelligence.

Final word"

Although i didnt really hate the movie i would definately recommend the books first. and I have very high expectations for David Fincher's version that comes out this christmas :)

(yet again im very sorry if this review was not helpful i promise my reviews will get better over time.)
