The Fog: Review By Red Camera Man

"The Fog," the story about 100-year-old ghosts returning from the dead and getting their revenge against the "Founding Fathers" who killed them in their old ship on a foggy island coast, was a terrible and unsuccessful remake of an original film which I've never seen, but I'm not interested in it because of this movie! This movie is exactly why I turn down on horror remakes today! These filmmakers just make these horror remakes dumb and stupid, and I blame them!

STORY: The story was SO cheesy and ridiculous! I mean, ghosts killing innocent people for revenge in the form of a fog, and some kind of connection between them and Maggie Grace? Yep. That's just stupid!

ACTING: Not just the story was stupid, but the acting was really bad! The actors in this movie did terrible jobs, and I was even disappointed with Tom Welling's acting! I've never seen "Smallville," but I expected him to do good in this. Unfortunately, he did not do so great as Nick Castle. I mostly hated the nerd who played Nick's cousin, Sean! Even though Sean was a minor character in this movie, I still hated the nerd who played him! I couldn't stand his screaming when he got stabbed in the eye in that one part when the Sea Grass charter boat was attacked by the deadly fog! The actors in this movie were just terrible, and Maggie Grace was boring as hell too!

DIRECTING: I blame the director, Rupert Wainwright, for making this movie trash! And "Stigmata," another movie he directed but I've never seen before, also sucked from what I heard, and it was compared with this movie for its stupidity! Will you please get another job besides filmmaking, Rupert? Thank you!

VISUALS: Even the visuals, I thought, were dumb and stupid! The ghosts looked retarded, and this movie does not have enough bloody visuals since it's not R-rated like a true horror movie should be like! That's another reason why I hate horror remakes: NEVER make a horror movie rated PG-13! If it's PG-13, then the movie will not have great bloody special effects, which means the movie will be stupid and is a waste of time and money!

OVERALL: Avoid this movie at ALL costs! "The Fog" is the perfect example of what a stupid trashy movie is like! I actually didn't see this movie in the theater nor did I rent it on disc, I just caught it on TV one night somewhere around Summer 2007, and I watched it from one middle part to the end, and boy, was I having trouble sleeping that night! Other than that, I still see the stupidity in this movie and I really hate it THAT much since it turned me down against many horror remakes today! In fact, I actually think this movie is the #1 All-Time Worst Movie Ever Made in my opinion! Do NOT see this movie, but if you rent it and watch it, get ready to turn it off or fall asleep in boredom! That's what I should've done when I watched this piece of garbage!
