This a old review, I wrote back then on another site. I did the copy and paste here.

Every movie that is made from a TV show, always have to live up to the original TV show or be better. Movies made from TV shows that didn't work for one is Charlie's Angeles: Full Throttle. The TV series was way better then the movie with good storylines. I have not seen The Dukes Of Hazzard movie yet and don't know will I. But I have seen the TV serie when I was little from 2nd to 4th grade, I saw the trailer to the movie three times and twice the behind the sence at the theater, to give my view what it should and shouldn't be like to be a good movie.

1)It cannot at all use the type of comedy or humor that are used in Nake Gun movies, Scary movies, Spy Hard and Top Secret. That type well not work at all.

2)It can have humor or comedy, but like the way it is used in the Lethal Weapon movies, Indiana Jones movies and Jackie Chan movies. Those type will work in this movie.

3)It must have a good storyline people can follow and not those that jumps around. The TV series always had good storylines, Uncle Jesse on the TV series always try to put values and morales in to Bo and Luke, on things that are happening and how to face them. For one thing Uncle Jesse tought Bo and Luke not to hate Boss Hog and his guys, even what they saw them as on the TV series.

4)The Duke Boys can not look stupid or dum at all. In the TV series John Schneider and Tom Wopat as Bo and Luke did not look did not look stupid or dum at all. They looked like guys from the south who are smart high school grads with common sense, who did not go to college. They always used their brains when they are traped to find a way to get out or break out. No matter how long it took. Also Catherine Back as Daisy Duke did not look stupid or dum at all. She never played Daisy Duke that way. Her way of playing Daisy was that, she was sexy, smart with comman sense. She knew that she was sexy good looking and people looked at her that way. But she also knew that her sexyness was not the only way to get her out of things or to help Bo and Luke. She was just as smart as Bo and Luke. But the TV series maker didn't go too far to say Daisy can fix her own Jeep, when need fixing. That is how Catherine Bach played Daisy on the TV series. So Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville cannot play Bo and Luke as dum and stupid, and use the type of comedy that are in the Nake Gun movies, Scary movies, Spy Hard and Top Secret. It has got to be those type of humor and comedy used in Lethal Weapon movies, Indiana Jones movies and Jackie Chan movies. Jessica Simpson cannot only play Daisy Duke as person who knows only how to use her sexyness to get her way or help her cousins. It has to almost be like how Catherine Bach played Daisy.

So that is how the movie should or shouldn't be like to be a good movie that can be as good as the TV series.
