Opening Thoughts:

This movie kind of didn't make sense, okay her husband dies, I guess because he was cheating with Juno, and she was so distrot by what she saw and heard, that visions began to appear, but really what dose one have to do with the other, I guess either Juno isn't dead at the end or she can see people who she's killed, which dose make sense, because instead of letting her husband drive, she distracts him and they crash he dies, but we don't see anything happen to the daughter, I guess she was behind the father, whatever, the ending was 100% stupid, and just f*cking crazy, I feel like Lewis Black, thinking about this movie. Really, really, my head is going to start hurting thinking about this bullsh*t. Renter maybe, best thing would be to do what I did, watch it on TV, but even that's a stretch, I actually stopped the movie and deleted the movie from my Dish DVR, the first time, but gave it a chance, kind of made the right decision the first time. TV watcher 3 out of 5 (6.5/10).

Story:

This movie could have gone somewhere, but it just went to random aspects, if the writer and director got together and focused on what they wanted use to see, maybe it would have made enough sense, if they had one plot line they wanted, they tried to do to much, it could have been simple and coherent.

Acting:

The acting was alright, but really what else can you say, its darkness, rock climbing, screaming, panicking, and women being woman, that's not hard, acting hurt, acting like creatures, woooh so "enthralling" , contrastingly there wasn't really anything, in the script that calls for a high caliber "Oscar" performance, so you get what you got.

Directing:

It was all over the place, but the direction was good, but it had its flaws, looked rushed or maybe more thoroughly amateurish, do to how things are portrayed and unfold in the movie.

Visuals:

The visuals were actually quite good, of course that's those I could see. I see what their trying to do, and of course when making a horror movie you have to have extreme darkness, and close shots, but I couldn't see any thing, but this isn't really bad its accurate, so its acceptable. The creature look real, the kills were gruesome and accurate, they shots you could see where very nice, very pleasing to the eyes.

Tangent:

The creatures look like Nosferatu vampires, with distorted skin, faces and bodies, two front sharp teeth, and bat like ears, in the movie they make a reference that their bat like humans, I think they might be Durango's, which is a human who feeds on human flesh and from eating human flesh they gain a longer life span, their bodies distort, they become slender, they gain powers, and move faster, as Native-American folklore states. The ending was sh*t, so an honest accident becomes another women's terms for leaving her friend and sabotaging her, listen when they first see the creatures everybody goes into shock, their brain has been scrambled and is in panic mode, anything can happen, people will be left, or do stupid things, it happens, Beth shouldn't have snuck up on Juno, after what she was doing, Juno was going to attack anything. Plus, Beth, the one who got hit in the neck, wouldn't be able to talk her larynx was punctured, not possible, and Sarah is just going to turn crazy when she finds out the truth, what stupidity. Oh and another thing, if you were paying a attention, like me you'll say what hell happen to the BMW X5, its missing when she drives away, and wouldn't she want the BMW because its faster, but she was driving the ford, and the BMW was missing. Too many unanswered question, loopholes inconsistencies, to be a great movie.
