On Dec. 12, Fox Movie Studios will be attempting to defy the odds by releasing a remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still," directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Keanu Reeves as Klaatu. Instead of dealing with the threat of nuclear war, which was the focus of the 1952 movie, the new version focuses on global warming.
