Who know's..... if Nolan can actually find someone distinct and sick looking enough to reprise Heath's role we may just get that lil' origin story in the 3rd installment. Unfortunately at the moment I can only think of one other who could pull off the role Heath nailed so perfectly. Unfortunately it's a no name actor, that well, obviously no one knows.

Indeed Heath's/Nolan's Joker is the sickest looking villain mastermind that has probably ever graced the big screen. I fell in love with the character immediately..... and as you can plainly see I have a tendency to take my love affairs to the next level. Hehehehehehahahaha!

  3. THE JOKER

The Joker never actually had an origin. They created one for him many years later. The only thing he ever said before The Killing Joker came out was about some kind of chemical. Thats it. And thats the Joker everyone fell in love with all the way back in 1940 when he came out. And that is the Joker Nolan is going after. He is using The Killing Joke as a reference so im sure the origin will all be pieced together after a while, but as far as making up a completeely different name than what is his and having people call him Jack instead of the Joker is not how it should be. I think Nolan is doing the right thing. He is following the comic books and thats how every comic movie needs to be made.

Explaining the joker with just one scene isn't enough. Showing his life as a mobster or whatever he was and then having that accident (if any) would be much more entertaining. but just one scene, come on people !!!!and Two Face is supposed to come out as well this movie might not only concentrate on the joker. that would be dissapointing.i dont know man

This looks like a great movie Bale did a great job sticking more closly to the comic book character than the other batmans (batmen?) did and I think Ledger makes a good joker from what they show in the previews, I could barly tell that it was him the first time I watched them.

  6. THE JOKER

well truvision they said they will sorta explain where the joker came from in passing in the dark knight. they just arent making as big a stink about it as they did the first batman as for the sleejness and all that you saying Batman i supposed to be...you told me before you dont read the comics nor had you ever read it. If you had you would realize just how wrong you are for saying that. He hides in the dark and comes out of no where to scare the living crap out of criminals. Thats his greatest tool...his usage of fear. His voice was always shown with very powerful laguage in the comics and then that was portrayed by bale in begins. Begins followed the comic book the best out of all the films. and as for the Batmobile. Once again if you had read the comic the first Batmobile was not small by any means. And the police werent just lettig him go out and do this. The Commissioner said he wants him brought in and the cops were chasing him. swat was after him. batman begins was awesome.

i agree wit macktan, the joker is the scriest character i've seen in movies now a days, actullay the scariest darkest chracter i've evr seen, he's not like the joker in the comics or the cartoons. he plays around but not as much, he looks like he has more personal issues, too bad they cant make an origin movie about him. it would have been a good movie also.

yes, phatlightning--I get you. I'm not one for cartoony movies; I too like them when they are converted to a more realistic perspective. I could understand and accept batman in begins--i could see this happening in a decaying, futuristic urban city. This is why I liked V for Vendetta, too. Nolan figured it out and Ledger certainly delivered. Nicholson's Joker was a cartoon; Ledger's is all too believable, like a son of sam, zodiac, kacynski, boston strangler.... If you're going to do this kind of stuff, might as well be theatrical about it.

i wasnt even talking about the joker, i was talking strictly about batman, and if you wish to get technical, then sure you could say I enjoy the origin behind batman

  11. TRUVISION82

So wut you mean to say is that you like the origin behind batman...not the realism...because the origin behind batman was always "real"..everyone knew his parents were killed in front of him...that's how it was in Batman (1989)...well then i guess we'll see if you like dark knight because it's not an origin story for the joker..you know that right...

    7 years agoby @truvision82Flag

  12. Phatlightning

well thats pretty obvious, and truvisions i was talking about the realism behind his character, not the realism of "batman" and the fact that he's a cape crusader.. i'm just saying the origin of how he became batman is more real in batman begins as well as all of his gadgets, car, etc... whereas in the old movies they just showed up, no origin whatsoever.. thats why I enjoyed the first, it made the entire idea of Batman so much more believable then the older series ever could...

I watch this and I regret that Ledger will not be around to do more fantastic stuff. His joker is fierce, eerie, terrifying, insane...and dedicated.

realistic? Excuse me! bin laden? Red Guardians? There are real life corollaries for this stuff. Consider the movie Heat.

THE ONLY REASON I WILL S\C THE DARK KNIGHT KNIGHT IS BECAUSE OF THE JOKER AND ONLY THE JOKER. i HEARD THEY HAVE TWO FACE AS WELL. BUT THE JOKER IS BETTER. HE'S MORE PSYCO IN THIS MOVIE AND IS REALLY DARK. THE FILM 2 ME CONCENTRATES MORE ON THE JOKER THAN BATMAN

Look! We are just gonna have to see what it's all about. From there, we shall all have our opinions about the movie. I know I can't wait to see it...very, very excited! Batman Begins was a cool movie, loved it but I bet this one's gonna be even more electrifying, more action.

  19. TRUVISION82

ummm ...so you're telling me a man dressing up like a bat that goes out at night to fight crime is more realistic???? c'mon..i ain't clownin batman...but if you're going to take the realism argument..you gotta realize that batman's situation isn't realistic at all..."taking the law into your own hands" america wouldn't accept that..Police letting a man come out in a big ass tank isn't realistic as well..plus they could've given any batmobile an origin in wayne enterprise

    7 years agoby @truvision82Flag

  20. Phatlightning

um perhaps you didnt like batman begins because it was more "real" and less fiction.. a batmobile with flames shooting out the back is hardly realistic whereas the fact that the batmobile seen in batman begins at least has an origin, it was created in a think tank in Wayne Enterprise.. I think the voice and his features are unique which make it original and Bale def has the better build for the role..

  21. TRUVISION82

I'll be glad to give you reasons...first of all...Bale doesn't have the chin...or at least the right jaw for the mask...he's alwlays suckin in his lips when he talks as batman...and his the nose on his mask comes out too far...His voice is too much...batman is calm and slick...The suit made him look like he had a table cloth on for a cape with a collar..look at the scene where hes running through the rooms at the insane asylum...the batmobile was too damn big..how is that discrete?...how do you go from the pimped out corvette batmobile to that tank??? Alfred was great..the relationship between bruce and alfred was great..but that's it..the realism is great...look at the dark knight..people are more juiced to see joker (even before ledger died , r.i.p.) than batman..

  23. THE JOKER

agreed Batman Begins was awesome. I truly dont understand how you can say you didnt like Batman Begins. I mean i have heard a few reasons and i have found backfires to them or i just plain dont understand them at all. I compaired the chins and Bale clearly has a more powerful chin than Keaton did, he is definitely bigger in muscles and height. He plays a great Batman and agreat Bruce Wayne. The voice was another thing. The voice was awesome as well! everything about the movie was awesome. And The Dark Knight is going to be even better. R.I.P Heath this is your greatest legacy!
