Look, i bought into the hype of "The Dark Knight" marketing campaign. I did not like "Batman Begins" mind you, and so the fact that i was excited to see the sequel shows how good Heath Ledger did. I thought that "The Joker" was played perfectly. Heath did great. It was believable as well as frightening. Batman however, bothers me to the point I want to just walk out of the theatre. I hate the Batman "voice." What is that??? He sounds like an idiot. The costume is no where near better than the original al the way up to Val Kilmer's Batman. I never got excited when Batman hit the screen, and that's sad. I was rooting for the Joker. I think Christopher Nolan needs a new Batman. Someone else should give Batman a shot.

bale is a good Batman... but it seems like he was trying too had in this one. i'll agree with you on that and the Joker being the highlight of the movie. but seriously, if it wasn't all that good to you, then you should probably lower your rating. Read my review to see why i gave it 5. sure TDK had its flaws, but what movie doesn't, right?

In regards to your overall quote, are you referring to Scarecrow or Two-Face? Cuz Scarecrow definitely needed, and deserved, a more decent exit from the franchise...assuming of course that he won't come back, which he still can. For I find it pathetic & disrespectful to the character that Scarecrow was reduced to a regular drug dealer that does his stuff in a well lit parking garage. How stupid can you be? It's like: Do you want to be arrested?
As for Two-Face, his story fit the movie perfectly, and while Gordon was giving a speech at what was most likely a funeral procession, Two-Face had no visible damage that coulda killed him in that fall. After all, Gordon faked his death, so Two-Face coulda been playing dead to fool Batman into leaving, and then when Gordon would begin to process the scene, Two-Face could escape. idk, just speculation if they wanna bring back the character, whom I wouldn't mind seeing again, as long as 1) he doesn't dominate the film, cuz there are plenty of other unused villains. And 2) as long as he gets a more believable mind-set, since on my review I wrote a lot there and in the comments about the problem I had with that.

Phat, are you talking about the "quick exit" scene as in the scene where he is on the roof with Dent & Gordon? That is from the comics. If you're talking about a dif. scene, idk.
TRU, you didn't like Begins? That was done to a tee, portrayed how Bruce became The Bat, his training, etc. Also it had at least 3 main villains, 7 in all.
Nolan was playing with the whole "Fear" theme.

no i would agree with the bank part, I dont think hanging out in a lit room with a bunch of cops is batmans typical scene, and then they just threw in his "quick exit" routine to keep it batmanesque. Oh well, I still thought the movie kicked ass, movies will always have their flaws.

I see what people mean when they say Nolan's series of Batman is more realistic..but that doesn't change the fact that some things are better left to the imagination....Nolan showed us too much of Batman's secrets, it took away the mystery of Batman. It's like a magician....you know he doesn't really have magic powers, but you like to be manipulated by his tricks...When someone tells you how a magician did his trick, its no longer entertaining or desireable. As far as the mask, the nose is so long on it. From the side he looks like the penguin. It looked real goofy when they showed batman just chillin with the rest of the cops on the room, or when he was standing in the bank with Gordon. There's certain shots of Batman you don't need to show because it takes away from the magic of Batman. For instance,..to be more realistic, you could show how Batman uses the toilet when he has to go, or show him working on his Batman voice in his free time...you can't...because realism isn't always a good thing...Sometimes you need to ride on fantasy...

and although the costume may not be better "looking" than the original, its more believable than the original.

bale is awesome as batman, but I would have to agree on the whole "voice" issue. For those of you who have seen the pre-screening of TDK, the voice becomes a major issue. You can barely understand what he is saying at times due to the fact that he is trying so hard to mask his real identity. At parts it just seems like he is growling instead of speaking words. I found it hard to believe that Nolan didn't try to alter something somehow.
I don't believe Nolan needs to find someone else, just try to rectify the whole speaking issue as well as the fear that batman instills. He wasn't as feared in this one as he was in the first although he kicks way more ass in the sequel versus begins.
