The Joker is a villain that only cares about the world burning down and putting the world in peril. The character of the Joker is supposed to be dark, twisted, scary, and most of all be funny, and still have a smile on his face. When looking back at Tim Burton's Batman Film, the Joker, played by Jack Nicholson, is viewed as a top business man who gets his face ruined by god knows what. Now to the audience as we see Jack Nicholson later become viscous and act funny/free we cant really share what happens in the mind of the Joker. With the later and different tales on how the Joker was supposed to from we can give a little view of how he is who he is. With the help of Chris Nolan and the daring Heath Ledger, the Joker is now viewed as how he is supposed to be.
This film did what it is intended to do, by giving the audience a thrill but yet keep them in a feeling of who we are as a group/race.
As an audience member I was scared. Literally. I had my ears slightly plugged by my ears as I tried to keep myself together before the next event in the story. Which is why I love the movies. They allow me to escape from life and view a story that makes your mouth drop and as the credits run you want more. How Chris Nolan gets these characters to understand something we would go by. Meaning if there is a choice which road to we go on. Which makes us think.
I loved The Dark Knight it brought movies back by showing how far an actor will go and how movies bring a sense of fun for all. This film is worth a ticket, if I were you, I would see it in IMAX if you have an IMAX Theater near you.
