  • @slysnide WHY IN THE F*CK DO YOU AND I NOT TALK MORE OFTEN!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!! MY FINAL PAPER I TURNED IN FOR MY COLLEGE ENGLISH CLASS WAS TELLING THEM HOW WORTHLESS COLLEGE TRULY IS!!! HOW IT IS AN INSTITUTE FOR THE RICH TO COME AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT THE POOR CAN NOT! HOW IT'S BASED ON WHAT THEY BELIEVE IS WHAT WE NEED IN LIFE AND YET WE TRULY REMEMBER NOTHING FROM IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny thing is, I could tell how angry I made my professor... But the paper was so well written, she had no choice but to give me an A... Makes me laugh!!! We seriously, and I mean quite seriously, have the same personality!!! No one ever wants to know the answers... they want to know what makes them feel good... WWII is my favorite area to go for this... everyone always wants to point and look... Japan, Germany bad... They had no logic behind what they did... If anyone ever tries to defend them, then we are racist monsters whom are not real Americans... and all that damn bullsh*t! People talk about how awful the Nazis were for creating Concentration Camps... What about Andersonville Prison Camp during the Civil War... how the f*ck was that any different than what was going on in Europe at those camps... people want to look at monsters in the world and not realize there is a monster in all of us... It's whether you are wise enough to recognize it is there... What about the American Concentration Camps for the Japanese... Why is it that Germany goes after Russia because they hate the Communist way... America jumps to defend Russia because no one should be attacked for their beliefs... and then less than a decade later we are in Korea and Vietnam ready to go to war against Communism... I see the funny side of life... and it people... oh how they refuse to realize they are just as evil as anyone else in the world... they just haven't acted on it yet...

  • @thejoker all tho i don't agree with them, to compare the U.S. Japanese camps to the Nazi camps is a little ridiculous but i get where your coming from.

  • @mcleve02@Khaotician: You should read the three comments at the bottom of the first page. Those people need basic language skills. And I love your avatar Khaotician. Way to go nostalgia! That guy rocks.

And while I get where you're coming from completely @mcleve02, the idiocy of the japanese internment camps was political and national security in nature, hence its idiocy, whereas the nazi's idiocy was idealogical/religious, as Himmler created his own cult for propaganda purposes so people would join the nazi party to begin with. Agreed on Andersonville and Communism as well. However, we had to take on the Soviet Union as an ally to win the war. The Soviets made the greatest sacrifices there, accounting for half of the entire war's fatalities, that including both the Pacific and European theaters combined. The Cold War in and of itself is a whole other arena for ridiculous BS to reside, which even produced Al Qaeda via teaming up Bin Laden's millions with Zawahiri's philosophy and terror group to stop the Soviets from gaining access to Afghanistan's precious minerals. These themes in general are prevalent in the novel I'm writing.

  • @Khaotician haha I would say more so Andersonville would be compared the most to the Nazi camps as the poeple there may have been somehow in worse condition than those in Europe... but still at least you got the point I was trying to get across!

  • @slysnide I definitely agree with the fact we needed Russia! Sorry I got going on my rant and didn't take the time to construct an argument that made as much sense as it should have! haha

But I was more so comparing Germany attacking Russia for being communist, and we of course said it was a bad thing... whether we needed them or not, to say it is wrong to pursue someone for their beliefs and then to go out and do the same thing ourselves and not to mention for one of the beliefs that Germany just attacked... People are funny... They are the biggest hypocrites in the world... everyone wants to have people to see things their way...

History is always written by the victor. History is filled with liars. If the people we are against lives and we die, their truth becomes written-and ours is lost. They will a hero. Because all you need to change the world is one good lie and a river of blood.

Awesome quote that I borrowed and changed a few words to make more sense with our conversation... but it is so true... America is one the worst for this... Thinking we are the cream of the crop and our ways are perfect and we live the way everyone else should live... And yet we have tons of murders, robberies, rapes, and all other kinds of things that happen in our own backyard everyday... and we feel we have the right to go and tell other people how to live...

Imagine if Germany had won the war... Imagine the things that would have been told that they never teach us in school... What about the tight rope everyone had around the necks of the German economy after World War I... where do they think the hate for the Jewish people came from... and the rest of Europe and other nations... What about all the raping of German women done by Russians, Americans, and British soldiers... EVERYONE is dark and evil... who ever is the one seen as evil, is the one who loses...

  • @mcleve02: We never said it was wrong for Germany to invade Russia. We just took it as a sigh of relief for the war effort. But the overall hypocrisy point still comes across. History as you mentioned is filled with liars and rewritten by the victors. Take into account how people like Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar are hailed as great leaders, when they were truly no better than Hitler, each trying to conquer the world, subjugate the masses, and introduce their own culture and religion to the countries they invaded. They play it down by saying they modernized regions, which granted they did, but not for those regions' benefit. They just did it cause they were planning on adding these provinces to their empires. Yet history doesn't remember them this way. However, the antisemitism doesn't come from the economy after WWI. There's no factual connection between the two. Hitler and Himmler merely adapted the general antisemetic feelings which many had and started spreading lies. Most of the destruction of Germany was wrought by the Soviets who invaded Berlin where most of the devastation and rapes occurred. The allies recognized the Soviet strategy of just throwing more soldiers at the enemy was better suited for them.

  • I have read several Russian books and in their eyes they won the war since they were the ones to take berlin as @slysnide mentioned. What is less known however is the fact that as Germany was invading from West, japan was invading Russia from the East. Russia was in a seriously bad position and yet they came out on top. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the invading forces were not prepared for the brutal weather that set in during the winter while Russia was well accustomed to it. Not to mention the fact that they threw everything into the war. While Japan and Germany and even the US were utilizing soldiers, Russia was so desperate that even the civilians were fighting. Interestingly, they used women to fight and some of the best snipers came from those civilians. Something that the other nations would not adopt until much later.

Of course, Stalin made it clear that nobody was to flee those areas and so they were forced to fight..and die which is kind of horrid.

  • @slysnide I was just saying the German people felt that in their hearts, whether it was delivered by Propaganda or actual connections or not, a hatred was developed and the destruction followed... Let's not forget the Vikings or Genghis Khan! They were no different.. Especially the Vikings! They were definitely heart less in their destruction and pillage! A lot of people also leave out what happened when Russia liberated Auschwitz... They raped women and killed them... Any Russians in the camps were placed in prisons because there was no way they "kept their mouths shut." People escaped one monster just to be dominated by another... Yet, we never learn about that in schools! They stop at "The camps were liberated!" Don't forget, before the Russians reached Berlin, American Soldiers were still raping women themselves in the towns they were taking over in the West... Once again, you won't see that taught! You can't tarnish our perfect image right...?

  • @skywise That was exactly what got them... the moment Hitler ordered tanks to move south to take the oil fields instead of pushing forward in the north, he set them up for disaster... They did not expect the battles to go into the winter months, so the Germans were under supplied, had no real clothing to keep properly warm, and many died from starvation... They brought doctors in because they thought there was a disease going around, that turned out to be hunger...

Russia was screwed if not for winter coming along for them... Japan was at least smart and dug in at warmer climates rather than charge... but then again, they were very much a more reactionary, sneaky opponent than a charge at your face... which they did with bayonets, but not until we were close...

Although, for the battle of Berlin, Germany also used children and elderly men for their army... and Russia still barely took it... Imagine if the German soldiers had not laid over and surrendered as easily as they did on the Western side, which accounts have said they did because they were hopeful it would be the Americans to take Berlin, and not the Russians...

  • I just saw The Dark Knight and loved it. So I was thinking since The Batman Arkham games are over wouldn't it be cool if Rocksteady made a game where you play as the Joker? It could be based on the Dark Knight and then show what happens Between the Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, or it could be completely different.
And I like the Bane coat, you can Google search this article, Bane Jacket from Dark Knight Rises
    How about your suggestions?
