@bawnian-dexeus so are you saying that they won't allow you to use the names Bane, Batman, and Gotham? can't you give DC Comics credit in the end credits? Or you could at least film the shorts, and have them nameless.
@ghostman They don't want to risk using the original names. I could tell them that we can put at the end "Based on the characters of DC comics", but until I get the green light, I won't bother them with details

Well guys, I've convinced them. Now, the original goal was to film everything and have it ready by or before July 2012, but if I want it done right with quality, the goal to create perfectly possible and not rush. And I already have the title for the 3-4 parts:

@skywise Right now we have at least $150 for the principal costumes. I have been making good on tips lately so saving half of what I make has been helpful.

@skywise Well, so far I've been doing all the writing. I made a 5 page draft than the people I am working with told me to do it again but differently and not use the actual names to avoid copyright. So, it;s now an adaptation. So far, I has the title, the proposed characters, (which need some work though) and the first three parts (episodes) with their summaries. Now all I need to do I write the scripts for all three parts. And of course, make them really good story wise and dialog as well, but simple enough to film based on location and space availability. I want to get creative, but not in the level that i need to travel somewhere to film. Something I can write with the area and stuff I have to make it as good as possible. I live in a dessert, Tucson Arizona, and we have an advantage because we can travel to then nearest wasteland and use it to film without permission. I'll be happy to accept your help either way. We might not start filming right away, but it would be great to have our plans, scripts, budget, equipment and schedules ready for Spring 2012. Sounds tough in wiritng, but dedication and being serious goes a long way. I'm willing to sacrifice study time to make this happen before summer, or at least complete parts of it.

@bawnian-dexeus i am right there with ya. School is priority for me and i got one year left until i have my degree. So I am definatly dedicated first and foremost to that because no matter how much money we throw into this or any other project - its super competitive as i mentioned - i need to at least have a career to fall back on.

@skywise Yeah. To me this is like a learning experience. Self teaching. I might go to graduate school to better improve my directing skills. For now in then ext two years, I want to see how i can do on my own. Plus I'll be taking marketing Summer 2012 so I'll learn some business stuff along the way for my production classes.

I think me and my producers have to start finding people who are good at editing and adding visual effects and special effects and whatnot
