@ejk1 After think about it, Bane of the Demon won't work. As much as I want to use Ras for this prequel, he just won't fit. I'll be sticking with Vengeance of Bane instead.

@bawnian-dexeus: Considering that a local middle school premiered their fall play "Nightmare On Puberty Street," then I'd imagine it shouldn't be hard for you to likewise find a willing candidate for such a scene. After all, the average age for starting middle school is 12, or 11 for the newer 6th/7th/8th grade middle schools.

@slysnide Well, I will be pitching the draft today so, let's see what happens. Either we go with a seemingly young Bane or an older one.

@bawnian-dexeus that's fine. Tailor your story to your vision. If you don't like the feel of something, change what you don't like.

Another Question: Is it going to be like how Zombie told the childhood of Michael Myers? Something like that?

@jakn Actually, I'm planning on Bane telling his story. It's gonna be three shorts. But, depending on the people I work with or if it gets the green light, there's a chance I might not be able to use a young kid, and start with an adolescent Bane when he makes his first kill

@bawnian-dexeus I guess that makes more sense. The childhood has already been taken by Zombie, plus made more sense and fit perfectly for Michael. Bane's first kill as a teenager is belivible and would fit. F*ckin big high-school puff brutally beating the sh*t out of a high-school student. THAT I would want to see.

@jakn Well, the first short will be more of a monologue with flashbacks. The first kill will happen after a build up. If it becomes a success with the people I work with, then part two will feature more brutality.

Bad NEWS guys. My film group passed on the script and went with another project, so I'm trying to find a group of people willing to help me. Will keep you guys in the loop if I manage to find a willing crew

@bawnian-dexeus damn..that sucks bro :/ Why don't you write a new script or revise the original one to submit it again? try to get a group of friends and film it "home-movies" style :)

Good news. Had a meeting a with a newly found group MTT (Media Think Tank). Offered them my script, they like the idea. Purpose for them, all members will look over my draft and bring in their ideas to improve it. They want the origin, but they think, and I as well, can radically take Bane to a new vision

Update:

With a couple of guys who are interested, here's where we are on the prequel development. They don't think it would e wise to go through the trouble of getting permission to use the name Bane, Batman, the prison name, location, or even Gotham. Instead, it would est if we adapted from it and create something new but still keeping some of the source material.

I'm close to getting a green light on this 3-4 part project. I have a week from today to write them the story plan, e.g. title, characters, prologue, etc... So til next Thursday, I'll be trying to come up with a new name for the main character instead of Bane

Any thoughts? Suggestions?
