What follows is a very accurate prologue description which I can vouch for via the audio reel of it being leaked--and since pulled--on youtube. Do not read if you don't want to know about it. MAJOR SPOILERS!
========================== Gordon gives a eulogy for DA Harvey Dent.
Gordon: I knew Harvey Dent, I was his friend. And it will be a very long time before someone inspires us the way he did. I believed in Harvey Dent.
Cut to a mountain range in the wilderness. A jeep with two guys in black hoods, Doctor Pavel, and a militia man are brought to a small plane that the CIA has. The CIA agent begins his interrogation at the airstrip.
CIA: Doctor Pavel, I'm CIA. Militia: He wasn't alone. CIA: You don't get to bring friends. Pavel: They're not my friends. Militia: Don't worry, I'll vouch for them. (them being the two hooded guys) CIA: And why would I want them? Militia: They were trying to grab your prize. They work for the mercenary. The masked man. CIA: Bane? Get him on board. I'll call it in.
They board and the plane takes off.
CIA: The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Doctor Pavel here, but only one of you. (meaning one of the two hooded guys)
The agent opens the airplane's door in flight.
CIA: First one to talk gets to stay on my aircraft! WHO PAID YOU TO GRAB DOCTOR PAVEL?!?!?!
The hooded mercenary doesn't answer, and the agent fires a gunshot which grazes past his ear, and he is thrown out of the plane.
CIA: He didn't fly so good. WHO WANTS TO TRY NEXT!?!?!
The agent turns to the second hooded man.
CIA: TELL ME ABOUT BANE!! WHY DOES HE WEAR THE MASK?!
The mercenary doesn't answer.
CIA: A lot of loyalty for a hired gun!
Bane (the second hooded mercenary): Or perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man, before throwing him out of a plane.
CIA: At least you can talk. Who are you? Bane: It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan...But no one cared who I was until I put on the mask. CIA: If I pulled that off would you die? Bane: It would be extremely painful... CIA: You're a big guy. Bane: For you. CIA: Was getting caught part of your plan? Bane: Of course. Doctor Pavel refused our offer in favor of yours. We had to find out what he told you about us. Pavel: Nothing! I said nothing! CIA: Well congratulations. You got yourself caught. Sir? Now what's the next step in your master plan? Bane: Crashing this plane...with no survivors.
During this conversation within the above paragraph of dialogue, a much larger plane crewed by the League of Shadows overtakes the smaller one. Wires are attached to the smaller one so the LoS guys can transport a body bag to the smaller plane. When Bane said "crashing this plane" they LoS guys attacked, firing into the plane and boarding it. In the body bag is a guy who's barely alive. A blood transfusion (or something like it) is performed on Doctor Pavel who screams in terror. The small plane then hangs vertically, disorienting everyone aboard. One of the LoS guys attempts to leave the plane when the strange procedure is complete. Bane stops him.
Bane: No! They expect one of us in the wreckage brother. LoS guy: So we started a fire? Bane: The fire rises.
Pavel is terrified, screaming, and has lost control of himself. {I think it's a safe bet he's not Hugo Strange after all. :P}
Bane: Calm down doctor! Now's not the time for fear. That comes later!
Bane then attaches himself and Pavel to wires and are yanked out a hole that's been carved into the small CIA plane. They're reeled into the larger one as the smaller one crashes, killing the LoS guys, the CIA agent, the militia, and the body bag guy still aboard it. The larger plane continues on and disappears.
======================
Bane's voice is very raspy, like he's talking through an 'electronic vocabulator' (star wars tech) like General Grievous from "Revenge of the Sith." He has a very strong accent, but I can't place it. Though it's the same as the dialogue from Heinz Field, though because the plane's door is open in mid-flight, it's slightly harder to understand him, since you can't really read his lips cause of the mask. All I can say is that it's scary in context to listen to. Really, no joke. {I know coming from me it doesn't sound genuine given my joker avatar, and my username, but trust me on this} Imagine a guy that physically intimidating, who sounds the part too, aboard a small plane which only makes him look bigger, and about to clusterf*ck everyone with a surprise attack/hijacking with a little help from his friends in a big motherf*cker which I expect is like, a C-130 compared to a Cessna. Frankly I think my imagination makes it better than seeing the visuals, as all the sound seems like it's coming over the radar in some ATC tower, due to the slightly poor audio recording. It was like I was the ATC who happened upon the frequency, and you know how freaky it is to listen to those things from that NatGeo show when you know something terrible happened to that flight. So yeah, it was really all the more powerful with just the dialogue, vague sound effects, and no imagery whatsoever.
As for how this ties into the marketing campaign about the redacted doc*ments, the militia apparently filed a report about how Bane attempted to kidnap Pavel, but were apprehended by the militia instead. Thus the data could be from before or after the handover to the CIA. Though judging on how Pavel seems to be MIA according to the doc*ments, then I tend to think it was after the prologue incident cause the militia guys who didn't get aboard the plane could just say Pavel was turned over to the CIA.
As for the offer Bane was referring to, given Pavel is said to be a nuclear physicist, then I take it Bane offered for Pavel to work for him, but he took the offer to dish out everything he knew about Bane and his cronies to the CIA. But Bane couldn't allow that to happen, and just to be sure it didn't, he schemed this elaborate hijacking/kidnapping. Like a backup in case the militia guys apprehended him--which they did.
Now the biggest question: What the hell was the deal with the transfusion? You got me there. I have no idea, as it seems you want the nuclear physicist for what he can provide, not so you can shoot him up with what's sure to be contaminated blood. I mean Pavel sounded fine, so it's not like he was in need of a transfusion. Unfortunately this mystery will loom until July 20th. Hope you all enjoyed.
You think Pike and Sykes haven't been watchin' us. They know what this is all about - and what do I have? Nothin' but you egg-suckin', chicken stealing gutter trash with not even sixty rounds between you. We're after men - and I wish to God I was with 'em
DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW. I JUST @MENTIONED EVERYONE IN CASE ANYBODY WANTED TO READ IT. MAJOR SPOILERS. THE PROLOGUE DESCRIPTION FOR "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES."
You think Pike and Sykes haven't been watchin' us. They know what this is all about - and what do I have? Nothin' but you egg-suckin', chicken stealing gutter trash with not even sixty rounds between you. We're after men - and I wish to God I was with 'em

I didn't feel spoiled, because I was likely to see it with M:I-GP anyways. I'll say that it wasn't quite as thrilling at the opener for TDK, but then again, the quality was pretty poor, and I'm sure it'll be ten time more effective on-screen. Bane's dialouge was pretty cool, though the same can't be said about the CIA character.
Overall, cool opener.
I believe, @slysnide, they transfused the blood from the doctor to the unknown man, to possibly throw the CIA off as to whether or not the doctor's alive. Sounds far fetched, due to all of the different ways to identify a body, but it's the only solution I can come up with.
Throughout the centuries, there were men who took first steps down new roads armed with nothing but their own vision - Ayn Rand
I can make it till Saturday, but this is the last thing I want to be thinking about given the 3 final exams I have tomorrow but the thought that I could be watching the TDKR Prologue right now keeps lingering. Damnit I won't give in!
I'm not questioning your intelligence.....but are you sure you are talking about a 70mm IMAX and not a digital IMAX? I just dont want you to get to the theater and be like "F*ck! Its not playing and I couldn't have watched that damn prologue on the internet while it was still up! SH*T!"
The reason why I ask is because I am one of those poor bastards who is stuck in a city with dozens of IMAX screens and not one of them is a 70mm IMAX.
.......and yes, I've watched the prologue about 15 times now.....going on 50 by tomorrow morning.
And just for the record (without spoiling anything), I personally think that this prologue is equally as good, if not better than, The Dark Knight's prologue. I can tell you right now, this film is going to be ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!
I got to see the early screening of The Dark Knight Rises Prologue via Operation Early Bird. The prologue will be playing along with Mission Impossible(Ghost Protocol).
@k-man No worries man. I've checked the listings map and the Chicago Navy Pier IMAX is definitely getting the prologue so I should be set.
And I don't plan on getting tied up with which Prologue is better, the beginning of the movie isn't going to determine the quality except for merely setting the tone for whats to come. I wish people weren't so quick to put it on a pedestal.
@k-man@ChiRep-1@narrator@bawnian-dexeus@SherlockHolmes2009: I got the prologue uploaded on a separate window right now. :P As long as I don't leave the page, it won't go away, as youtube has officially yanked it as I discovered when opening a second tab to see if I could watch it on youtube instead (ya know, for full screen) rather than the obscure site. So...hard...to close...the window... :P
Also, @k-man, the video I got up isn't the one you uploaded. I was forced off my MAC for an hour last night having constantly been refreshing "dark knight rises prologue leak" on google every few minutes. When I returned, that link was posted, and was listed on comicbookmovie, youtube, and dark knight rises rumors.com, but had all been yanked already. :P Damn I wish I had 2 computers! How was the quality on that video? Mine has the audio off sync, with the video playing about 2 seconds ahead of the audio, and it took until the first guy was thrown out of the plane for the guy to get the camera set right. He was in the middle of the theater, which is where it's nearly impossible to get good angles. The "TDK" leaked prologue was better cause it was shot from the side, so you could see the whole picture. But this was still cool for what I was expecting. I had a 1570 IMAX playing the prologue last night, but bus service I rely on wasn't running past 9pm so I couldn't go. :P And I agree about the music. Also a day one purchase for me.

@k-man Saw it on twitvid. Audio is not synced up, but it was pretty good. Bane's accent makes him sound like Goldfinger a little bit. Overall, I'm happy.
@k-man: That's the same one I got, except your link has it on another site where I can watch it full screen. We'll probably get better leaks this Friday and throughout next week, but we'd have to continually refresh our searches before youtube yanks them all down, presuming we don't find such a video on another random site like twitvid.
