Jodie Foster in another emotionally draining role.

I have loved Jodie Foster since "Taxi Driver", and have seen most of her movies. Her ability to "become" each character she plays is a sign of an extremely talented actress.

I did not know exatly what to expect when I rented this movie, meaning, I knew only part of the storyline. Jodie Foster's character is engaged. During a brief stroll with her fiancee and their dog, they are approached by a group of thugs and beaten. The remainder of the story follows Jodie's characters' path to "justice/revenge". The attack scene was painful to watch, but it needs to be in order to make the story believable, which it succeeds in doing.
