I strongly beleive that just owning a hand gun could change lifes forever ( by unleashing a dark side of yourself that was always there) , specially if you start carrying it with you everywere you go . We are thought to beleive and follow laws and justice that were thought of , most of them , a long time ago . But a lot of us deep down our souls we cant seem to accept those laws and would love to to make our own justice . I am one of those , this has been one of the main reason why i never wanted ( well i wanted too but restrain myself) to buy a handgun , even during my criminals years when i needed one , i din't get one , just don't trust myself with one.

In The brave one they did a wonderfull job at showing what am trying to explain . The script is really well written . I also love the fact that they could of done it exactly the same scene per scene if it was Foster's character that died and that Naveen Andrews would of become the vigilante. Even her look and voice in the films sounds and looks by times like an effeminate man , the support characters like the lead detective and the non-friendly neighbor are really well written and played . I can watch almost anything and I was still half closing my eyes when Foster and Andrew get attacked , not for the faint hearted thats for sure , it's really quite a dark film.

After my initial disapointment with Death sentence ( i have rewatched it and now I love it , really enjoy the score and was able to appreciate more the script , but James Wan can still not write properly a cop character) , I was really looking forward to a kinda typical vigilante movie , this aint really a typical one , but it had everything i was looking for , also just like Death sentence , it's a pretty bleak and dark look at our society

: I'm Erica Bain. And as you know I walk the city. I bitch and moan about it. I walk and watch and listen, a witness to all the beauty and ugliness that is disappearing from our beloved city
