The Book of Eli: Review By Jakn

"This 'Book' needs to be rewritten with less silliness and more sense to the plot"

Yet again another movie about the apocalypse. Well it's certainly nothing like 'The Road'. There more people, and no cannibals in 'Eli'. The plot is slightly smart, but yet very confusing. It goes like this

Eli (Denzel Washington) is a Christian man who carry's around the last copy of the bible to save the human race. He later visits a town and meets a man named Carnegie (Gary Oldman) who is trying to look for the bible. Carnegie sends men that can't read to find the bible. He wants it really bad because it holds powers and secrets that nobody else knows about but him.

Eli wouldn't let anybody touch the bible. Eli meets and becomes good friends with a young girl named Solara (Mila Kunis) that has lived with Carnegie. He soon learns the terrible things that Carnegie did to her. Carnegie does get the bible, but there is a little unexpected and unwanted surprise for him as soon as he soon opens it.

There are a few entertaining and eye popping action scenes in 'Eli'. That still isn't saying it's a good movie though. 'The Book of Eli' is just a bit out of control. Let's just put it that way.
