The Astronaut Farmer: Review By Brokaw
The film is one of those "can do" stories which will leave audiences smiling as they exit the theater.

The FBI, CIA, FAA and U.S. Military set their sights on this man with the intention of stopping him from launching his rocket. Charles takes his story to the press who camp out in front of his property to witness the historic event, even though the authorities are intent on keeping him on the ground.
The Farmers instill a sense of pride and wonder in their kids who believe their dad can really go into space. When things go wrong, however, Charles decides it's time to bury his lifelong dream once and for all. Lately it has only caused problems for his family, who are under constant scrutiny from the world.
However Audie insists he follow through. She doesn't want her kids feeling that they should not follow their dreams when things get tough. She wants them to have the courage to take on any challenge, confront any foe, and work hard to follow their hearts. And even though it might be dangerous, she encourages Charles to trust his instincts and follow his dream to the end.
The film is one of those "can do" stories which will leave audiences smiling as they exit the theater. It's one of those films where the little guy takes on the big world - and wins.
