Best supporting actor should have went to Casey Affleck, wow what a terrifc job playing Bob Ford!
You really end up hating this guy by the end of the film.
Everything from the look and feel of the movie to the script, simply perfection!
Do not expect to be overwhelmed by Brad Pitt's performance. In my opinion, Casey Affleck steals the movie 100%.
Brad Pitt does a wonderful job as Jesse James, a very different portrait of the outlaw ( more accurate, and defining) and Sam Shepard as older brother Frank James, leaves you hungry for more.
Sam Rockwell also does an outstanding job as Charley Ford (Bob Ford's older brother) leaving you amazed at his performance.
This western is without a "doubt" the best western to hit the screens since "Unforgiven".
This film shows you the power of celebrity. Yes, Jesse James was a Rock Star for his time. Bob Ford slowly and delibertly becomes obsessed with Jesse and his folklore that followed him. This film displays Bob Ford's (Casey Affleck) constant fixation on Jesse James very skilfully.
Sadly very few people went to see this movie.
Please treat yourself and rent this movie when it arrives on DVD !
