Saying this version of the Amityville Horror is based on a true story is like saying I’ll actually get laid in this lifetime. It’s a bunch of horse manure. Still, it serves its purpose as a piece of Horror Entertainment. Its flaunted intentions shouldn’t be taken any further than that.
