Terminator Salvation, is one the most anticipated films of the year, but did it deliver? In my opinion... YES.
I knew it wasn't going to be anywhere near T2, but the film does prove to be in a good position for the next 2 films. The future of Terminator films is not over, but beginning.
Christian Bale takes on another major role, but I think the spotlight was taken from him and given to Sam Worthington who is probably the next big thing. Worthington has us cheering for him throughout the entire film. Another outstanding performance was delivered by Anton Yelchin who actually kicks ass!! I'm glad McG didnt handle him as a wimpy/nervous guy.
For the visuals, there are some scenes where the machines look too cartoonish, but those motorcycle machines are a rush! There's a chase scene that pays tribute to the T2 famous chase scene (Patrick chasing Arny on the cycle). There are some cliche quotes "I'll be back" and "come with me if you want to live" but its a Terminator movie..its tradition.
Great action! And good cast should definately solidify Terminator as the next great series!
