Overall, an amzing movie with great results on almost every ascpect.
Tangled has a story that requires a certain age to fully understand it. I mean, there were a lot of young kids that didn't understand the story. Tangled is about 2 parents who were king and queen of their kingdom, and they had a baby named Rapunzel. That day, a golden flower is planted and an old lady uses it to keep herself young for hundreds of years. Then that woman steals baby Rapunzel at night, and uses her hair to keep her young. How? When Rapunzel sings, her hair glows and can keep people young, heal cuts, and everything. But his woman takes Rapunzel up into a tower, and never lets her out. Every year on Rapunzel's birthday, the king and queen set out lanterns, as signals to try to find Rapunzel. But the woman that steals her, says those lanterns are just stars. Also, that woman says she's her mother. And when, Flynn Rider steals a crown, he gets chased and runs into Rapunzel's tower when her "mother" isn't home, and takes her out of the tower to see her lifelong dream. To see the lanterns in person.
The voices are great. There isn't anyone I could name, becuase none of them have ever been in anything much. Whoever plays Rapunzel was very good. The only problem I had with her character, is that that in the beginning she seemed like a very boring & lifeless person. Whoever plays Flynn Rider was FANTASTIC. He was so funny. He provided the only LOL laughs in the film. I mean Tangled was funny, but not LOL funny. Whoever played the woman that was Rapunzel's "mother" was amazing in Tangled.
I love the dialogue in Tangled, because it's so original and inventive. There are 2 quotes in this film, that are some morable: "Blondie?" "RAPUNZEL!" "Gesundheit."
The other one was said throughout the film, "Rapunzel! Let, down your hair!" I also love the scene were Flynn and Rapunzel go into that Duckling restraunt, and at first the people seem really mean, but then Rapunzel says, "Haven't YOU ever dreamed before?" Then they sing a song about dreams. And the songs have really clever dialogue too.
The animaation in Tangled is fantastic. The animation in Tangled is very much different than the animation in the earlier Walt Disney films. Except Bolt. The animation looks like Dreamworks animation or even Pixar animation. Tangled has the 2nd best animation in a movie this year. Behind Toy Story 3, and right in front of How To Train Yor Dragon. Actually, when I saw the first trailer for Tangled, I thought it was made by Dreamworks!
The direction in Tangled is spectacular. Tangled never gets off-topic, or even get boring. That's because the film autimatically gets you tied to it, wether your a Disney-princess fan, or not! I think that's a very good achievment by the director, and writers. Tangled is also very well paced. The scenes don't drag on to long, and they feel the same time length. But Tangled doesn't feel faster than it really is, or anything like that. It's 1 hour 40 minutes, and feels that long.
The character development is pretty good. That's one of the main things that carries the film. You just have to know the characters for like 2 minutes, and you know them! Quick Mentioning: Tangled has have a flaw, but i don't want to give it away because it would be considered a spoiler.
To give a quick review: Tangled is fun, entertaining, has great voices, animation, clever dialogue, and is very entertaining. I give Tangled a 4.5/5 stars, very close to a 5/5. Thanks for reading my quick review.
