I hate this movie, it's not funny at all. I don't understand what people like about this thing. It takes no skill to write. All you have to do is think up ransom sh*t, and pass it off as funny. This movie is an insult to the human race- people who laugh at this sicken me- it's retarded. No offense to the people who do laugh at this, but it's obvious this is very unintelligent humor.

The story is of Ricky Bobby who is a race car driver. Yup, that's basically it. Sure, there's a little side story with his wife, and car crashes, and stuff, also how he got started into race car driving. It does sound olike it might have some potential, because to my knowledge, this story hasn't been done before, but it's not.

Will Ferrell is a complete idiot. He eeds to stop screaming so much. When you shout, all you do is hurt my ears! His only 2 good movies are- Stranger than Fiction, and sorta Step Brothers. He even ruined that one a little bit too. He completely screwed up Elf, and he ruined this movie too! I mean, most of the "jokes" were sh*t, but I could see a few of them had potential, but Will Ferrell totally ruined it!

Director Adam McKay, who did Step Brothers, which was a lot better. At least in that one, Ferrell had another actor to to stop him from screaming at the top of his lungs. But otherwise than Step Brothers, this direcor is sh*t, and needs to figure out how to controll his actors, and not let them roam freely around the stage "being funny".

I did kinda like the visual part of the film, with his pretty wife (the first one) and the cool racing stuff.

Terrible movie! The only2 words the movie seemed to consist of were "shake and bake" and I have no idea what the hell that even means!!! AHHHH!!!! There might have been ONE snickerable part, I don't know. Could have been another Will Ferrell movie, because Will Ferrell sucks assssssssss...

Oh yea, there was ONE funny part when he claims the ninjas were trying to get him- THAT'S IT!

    straight zeros for me. the only funny parts was the couger in the car, and when the dad told ricky that he called the cops about drugs ricky had to give him an excuse to madly drive away like a racecar driver. and even those 2 things weren't worthy of a star for me, and the title makes no sense Talledega "Nights?" More like days. Plus there was no good plot development to speak of. So i for 1 am happy that somebody finally rated this film for the crap that it is.

    I feel you were a little too harsh on this movie. Overall, Sasha Baron Cohen did a fair job on his part and Leslie Bibb is too good of an actress to do such a stupid role (See her in The Midnight Meat Train). Was this a 1 star? I don't think so....
