Taken: Review By Moviemaster75

Writer of "The Professional" brings us this suspenseful thrilling new action movie. It can easily be compared to "The Bourne Ultimatum" allthough it is not what I personally exprected but it is to be but Taken raves on to be a rousing expirience.

Liam Neeson stars in this high octane movie filled of surprises, the movie though had some "minor" problems like the acting and its visuals lacked of great things we all had expected. More around the story seemed to be straight and adaquate job with Liam Neeson hitting a homerun with is great performance as a extremely loving father. The directing I can say was great for directing this honorable movie. In a movie 3 things must be good, a strong beginning, strong middle, annd a strong ending this has a good beginning, cool middle, and a ok ending, I wasn't really satisfied with the ending at most. Ending well I don't want to spoil it for you but we can all predict how its gonna end, not the very ending but if Liam finds his daughter or not. Also theres no real bad guy more of a bad company that is the bad guy. But theres one thing for sure that this movie has... and thats entertainment!

Story you can easily say was great, an ex-spy (well, preventer) has his daughter Taken in Paris so he travels to Paris to find her and kill anyone in his way. Fantastic it was, and incredible it was. Story has a thing too it that makes it better, a man who use to work for the goverment beats the sh*t outta people and not a random person that works for who knows, Best buy beating the sh*t outta people, it makes sense. The story all makes sense from the characters backrounds as it made a point earlier, nice karate moves Liam Neeson! HE beats thw sh*t outta people!

Liam Neeson Leads the role as Brian Mills an ex-"preventer" of bad things, but when his daughter and her friend are kidnapped in Paris he is pissed off! So he gets all these fancy objects and he is smart! Bourne movies Smart! But the acting wasn't all like a bag of potatoe chips, Maggie Grace plays as Kim, Liams daughter, bad acting came from her its hard to believe that she can even be in a movie. Then theres the mother, Famke Janssen she wasn't all good, she was an ok actress if I may say, she played Phoenix in "X-men: The Last Stand" well in this movie she plays an unhelpful mother, still, the acting in the movie was an good cast.

The director, Pierre Morel directed this spectacular exthrillerating movie. He hasn't really directed alot of movies, but he is currently working on a movie called "From Paris With Love" no, not James Bond kind of stuff but something related to that. He spent most of his career in the Cineamatography position and well he mad did some good things like "War" and "Transporter." He wans't a Cinematographer for thia one but as a director is was great. He has done a wonderful job as a Cinematographer and does the same for a director with great skills.

They used som greenscreen which most thetime seriously SUCKED. That was the thing for the visuals, the greenscreen seriously SUCKED, that was the biggest problem in all of the movie other than the acting, action in cineamatography was great, thats what I adore in movies like these, the cineamagraphy is the "bees knees" or the "The bomb" of the movie. It is also the only thing i look forward to in Daniel Craig as James Bond movies. So For this catagory the visuals were good but then great in this suspenseful and action movie.

The final word is that this movie is a must see, its not what I have exprected but it was what at least what I partcially wanted. So watch this movie in the theater or wait a couple months for dvd, just a movie to see.
