In spite of all its flaws I sort of enjoyed it.

Surrogates suffers from a general sense of lackluster; interesting ideas are marred by underdevelopment and huge gaps in logic. How exactly "98%" of humanity owns a robot when most of the world's population doesn't have clean water is not explained. Likewise, discrimination disappears "virtually overnight" with the advent of robotic avatars. It's just not a believable future, and that's probably the most fundamental flaw. The plot is sort of drab and predictable. Still, seeing the waxen-skinned versions of the actors is sort of interesting, and I liked the film's resolution.

Ultimately Surrogates is on par with the film adaptation of I Robot. If you liked one you'll probably like the other. In spite of all its flaws I sort of enjoyed it. It made me want to get off my computer and go outside, so I guess that's something.
