Well it wasn't everything I was looking for. But i do have to give the movie makers credit in that what they were trying to accomplish they did. This was going to bring Superman back on the screen, which it obviously did, pay a tribute to Christopher Reeve by adding in the catch phrases from the first film and creating a loving theme and suprehero versus just the superhero theme everyone was expecting. Yes Superman didn't punch anything but he did show his incredible power by lifting a plane, the daily planet globe and a whole freaking island! Singer has promised in the sequel the Superhero theme will be seen and Superman will be given a formidable foe whom can keep up with Superman on a physical level. So when put in this context Superman Returns accomplished what it was after. Superman: The Man of Steel is going to be the a superman film to watch.

@basquat Yeah I guess so! Still I know I would like to have a little bit more professional looking reviews! I guess it is a little better than my Spider-man 3 and Napoleon Dynamite reviews! XD

Definitely agree... I am truly psyched for the Man of Steel!

@mcleve02 It's fine. The film doesn't deserve a longer more in depth review then this:-)
But again i thought Routh was fine. He looked exactly like superman is supposse to look. It's not his fault the film was awful and didn't give him anything to do.
I suspect the new guy is to superman what Daniel Craig is to James Bond. More of a rumble'n tumble action hero type of character.

Brandon Routh as Superman was okay. Don't know why he got so much criticism for it.
But nobody, and i mean nobody is better then Hackman. What a silly thing to say:-)

@redcameraman haha that is where I was coming from! This wasn't really as much of a reboot as much as it was a tribute! haha

@mcleve02: I thought this movie was great and stayed very true to the 1978 original. Brandon Routh resembled Christopher Reeve completely, and Kevin Spacey was outstanding as Lex Luthor (better than Gene Hackman actually). Bryan Singer is a fantastic director and one of my favorites.
