when I watch any clips from this movie, I have flashbacks of a really bad movie called street fighter, starring JCVD. WTF!! This looks like a f*ckin sat morning episode of power rangers. Why do these movies always use bad wire work, it looks so corny. The animated movie had more heart in the first five minute fight scene with Ryu and Sagat then this movie looks like it has in the whole thing. What is the facination with filling the rolls of asian characters with non asians, like AVATAR, they are filling all the roles with non asian actors, and Jessie Mcartny or whatever his f*ckin name is.
On the flipside maybe all the clips that have been shown in various places aren't representative of the film. whatever the case is we'll find out how bad it is in a few weeks

I am also hesitant about this movie, but what gives me hope is that it doesn't seem like they're using the tired, old method for a movie of a fighter game ie: Mortal Kombat 2, DOA and the upcoming Teken (bleh!). Focusing on a certain characters story, I think, is a good idea. It leaves openings for possible sequals/spin-offs focusing on other characters. That way no-one can say that it's the same old S*@#.

I'm not saying that this will be a bad movie. But honestly writers and everyone in the entertainment biz are losing there touch. Writers need to go to ComicCon or any comic book/video game convention and ask the fans what they want. Chun-Li to me is a pretty awesome character. But doing a whole movie about her just aint right. If they made a movie about Ken and Ryu now that would be a movie I'd waste 7 dollars for. Plus the old Street Fighter movie I can't lie I liked. It at least had all the main characters. Horribly acted and not well placed. But in a odd way it was meant for fans to be happy.

I would rather they make a movie about chun li first,and then ken and ryu.If they mess the fist 1 up they can find out what they did wrong and fix it for the next movie about ken and ryu.... thats thinking in a negative point of view.
Chun li is a smart, young and beautiful women. She's the most popular female character in street fighter history. She's known to be the queen of video games,she's way over do for a movie.. so what if ken and ryu aren't in the first movie,this is another street fighter's point of view, if we just want to see ken and ryu point of view all the time then whats the point in having the other characters. sh*t,would you buy a game that only has ken and ryu in it...i understand the whole "macho man"/"man power" thing and I can't wait to see a live action ken and ryu but you guy's are bitching and crying about nothing,and would you honestly rather have an origin story about Dhalsim or Zangief than Chun li....(cat fights)
Chun Li origin story is a perfect idea to bring all the street fighters together based on her past with shadowloo.and if your a True Fan you will support the movie.... before the trailer comes out............

Why are they basing a "Street Fighter" movie on a supporting character? Holy crap, thats like following the adventures of Link through the eyes of a Goron. HAHA, look when you think of ST you think RYU & KEN end of story, the trailer for the IV game says it all. Now i know the last movie was unimaginative, tacky, and gorganzola cheesy but hey this series has potential still I believe. Hmm common sense in movies, hell no lets wing it!!! *slaps the writers for this movie* bad writer!

i just dont understand why would they base the movie on chun li, theres so many other fighters that are way cooler then her, Ryu and Ken would be the logical chioce but if u dont want it to be predictable go maybe for Akuma that would be cool, just a thought

The first live- action movie wasn't terrible. My favorite fighters were Ryu and Ken (knew all of their moves by heart). As long as they kick a lot of ass, I'm happy.

Oh my. Must they? LOL Idk I'm kind of on the esge, I loved the game but I don't know how this'll be. I'm on the edge when it comes to Video Game to Movie movies, but Resident Evil was great so we'll just have to sit back and see won't we?
