Stephen King's The Mist: Review By jddesigned

This is two hours of my life that I would never give back and to top that off director Darabont gives us one of the best climaxes to a film I have ever seen in my life.

The Mist for the most part is a movie about human nature, but the best thing about it is that it's finely wrapped in a freak show of creatures and beasties. I think the thing I like most about this film is it wastes no time getting down to business. There's no twenty minutes of BS character introductions to make us all feel warm and fuzzy, rather we get 5 minutes of warm up and then all hell breaks loose. That's when you discover a strongly written movie that has enough character development throughout to keep us invested in it's story and to cap that off you get a historical monster flick to go along with it.

This is a movie that you don't say to much about because you ruin all the great surprises. So I won't go on any further. All you need to know is after two hours and two minutes your last two minutes will have been worth far more than the price of admission. To quote one reviewer "You'll walked away feeling like you just saw a puppy get it's head chopped off....."
