great movie. i loved how the people in the store start to break up and start going against each other. also great story; it keeps u awake and keeps u having a personal feeling to each character. yes, there is a main character but each character in the store has a unique story. one disappointing part.....the ending.....i couldnt believe my eyes. he finally gets out......wtf....theres no gas.....bam! bam! bam! shoots everybody from there misery and dadaaa! rescue comes. i mean come on now, they finally show the creature, the rescue team finally comes....shouldnt the movie keep going. and also i dont know exactly about the connection of the mist and the monsters and the other world?? the movie never answers these questions and im sure these questions will pop up when u see the movie. dont think too hard....u wont get an answer...

I could have done without SOME of the preaching. I agree it added to the movie, but I thought it was a little too much.

i LOVED the ending.. I was like wtf for a second, then I started laughing my ass off.. the movie started slow and I eventually got pretty bored of it until the ending just grabbed me and said "here, take this!", def worth the 4 stars.. nice review.

I think without that ending, and without all the preaching, though, this movie wouldn't have been as good as it was. It's supposed to show what people will do when faced with a seemingly-apocalyptic setting, you know? I really enjoyed this movie a lot, and it is one of my favorite Stephen King films.

Very good movie, but like you I did not care for the ending. I also could have done without some of the preaching. But overall, I enjoyed it and thought it had a great cast.
