When i saw a trailer for Step Brothers back last June when i saw "You Don't Mess With the Zohan", i thought it'd be hilarious. It looked so funny! But, after renting this On-Demand last night i saw that the only funny in Step Brothers is the parts in the trailer. All the funny parts were in the trailer. If ya think about it, the Trailer shows YOU the whole movie. I already knew from the trailer that Brennen and Dale would be rivals in the first half and BEST bro's in the other. The trailer tells it all. So when i watched this, i already knew everything. PLUS: the trailer shows every LAUGH OUT LOUD part so when i watched this i didnt really laugh because i've seen the parts in TV Spots and trailers. The movie isn't anything to be excited for OR to love. Some people may love this movie and some people will hate this. I however did like this movie but not as much as you think.

The acting in the movie is good but both John C. Reily and Will Ferrel play the STUPIDEST characters in movie history. The acting is a "Meh", because it is slow and just plain. I never really like watching dumb characters across a screen. This movie is not about visuals so i won't write about that. The directing is pretty good and the plot is actually smart. The idea of STEP BROTHERS is funny but it'd be better if this movie had a 'Drake and Josh" style. Not 40-year olds but high-school seniors instead. They should have used those kind of actors in stead of ridicluas 40 year olds. All and all, Step Brothers is funny but also bad. Rent it, but i cant promise anything.
