STORY: We all know the story: Luke Skywalker meets old Obi-Wan Kenobi and learns more about the ways of the Force, and he wants to rescue Princess Leia Organa from Darth Vader. Luke and Obi-Wan meet Han Solo and his wookiee partner Chewbacca and they take off into outer space inside the Millenium Falcon! We all pretty much get that, but it was still an entertaining story. To the Death Star, we go!
ACTING: The acting was pretty interesting. Mark Hamill was suitable as Luke Skywalker. Carrie Fisher used to look so cute when she was Princess Leia Organa, but now she looks wierd. Harrison Ford is always classic for every role he plays like in this and the "Indiana Jones" trilogy. And I actually think Alec Guiness as Obi-Wan Kenobi actually looks a LOT like Ewan McGregor but with blonde hair instead of white hair. I can't believe that! Anyway, I also love James Earl Jones' voice as Darth Vader as usual. The remaining cast did well too.
DIRECTING: George Lucas created the "Star Wars" saga by directing this movie. I thought he did really good with that, along with what he did on the prequel trilogy too.
VISUALS: I'm not really into old movies with not-so-good visuals, but I like this movie. I like ALL the "Star Wars" movies. The way the filmmakers did with the space graphics, fighting scenes, and lightsabers, I understand that they tried them out for the first time in a first space movie, so that's why I gave the visuals 4 stars.
OVERALL: A pretty cool movie that, as I said before, made "Star Wars" a classic saga. If your a fan of "Star Wars," but mostly of the original trilogy than the prequel trilogy for most of you, then I say you should watch this movie and see how it's a classic. Try it out.
