Eleven days to fill in the holes. Eleven days to patch the live action gaps in the current edit of Episode III. That was the timeframe for the stint of additional photography that took place at the end of August at Shepperton Studios in England. The bustle and energy of the 58-day principal photography shoot in Sydney was channeled into that two-week window, and cast and crew were reunited to once again play in a galaxy far, far away... Pick-up photography has become an increasingly common tool in filmmaking. It is a way to add to and refine the growing story during a very organic production process.
